Interaction with Guests

When we are on the property, we like to have a chat and get to know our guests. We also like to have either someone from our family, or one of our staff on the property at all times when we have guests staying for your piece of mind.
During the day, staff are on the property preparing breakfast in the morning and then doing the routine cleaning tasks during the day. If you would like a smaller staff presence during your stay, please let us or our house manager Yuli know so we can adjust to suit the level or privacy you require.

The Neighborhood

Lod Tunduh is a large village home to farmers, carvers and artists. There are two very good art galleries close by on the Lod Tunduh mainroad - Genta Gallery owned by the Rudana family from Mas Village, and the newer Tanah Tho Gallery. Both have high quality Indonesian art on display and for sale.
Lod Tunduh is a quiet and peaceful village where you can really kick back and relax. The natural surrounds are quite lovely, with a good breeze most of the year round.

Getting around

Our village is approximately 10 minutes to the Southern border of Ubud, and 12 minutes to the centre. You are far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be in peaceful surrounds, however motor vehicle transport is really needed to get into town as the roads are narrow in Bali and footpaths are hard to find! Transport is easily organised via our house manager Yuli and is approximately US$5 per trip into town.

  • Thank you Yoga and Alex - your villas, staff, location and food provided us with the perfect setting for our Ubud holiday. We loved it all ... the banana pancakes, puss-puss, Minnie and Polly, the pool, the roving ducks. We also appreciate the ethical and environmentally friendly approach you took to creating the place.

  • We loved our stay at Pandok Langon! The house is simply beautiful in a quiet area overlooking the rice paddies, the view from the balcony is stunning. The staff were very helpful and organised motorbikes, taxis, laundry, even babysitting for our young boys. Short trip to Ubud town but well worth it. Breakfast was delicious! Would definitely stay again!

  • Probably one of the best place we stayed during our trip un Bali ! Alex and Yoga were really welcoming and the staff was nice. We were a group a 6 people looking for a place to stay during 4 days but big enough for 6, not far from Ubud and quiet. This house was a very good solution and the place is really lovely, just in front of rice fields. I would recommand this place if you want to visit Ubud. Adrian

  • We really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely beautiful setting. The staff was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. It was easy to get into Ubud. We rented scooters, which the staff arranged. Since it is set in a rice field there was some morning farm work going on which was a bit noisy, but can't really complain.

    Response from Alex + Yoga:

Thanks Yixia,, indeed our Pondok Langon is situated in the middle of big rice field which is getting less and lesser in Ubud.
This time is best time until September, where the wind and breeze is good for people from cold climate.
I am glad that you like our dogs Mini and Polly. cheers. Yoga

  • We loved staying at Alex and Yoga's beautiful home! We were in Bali for two weeks, and our time at the villa was a highlight. Our children loved the pool, pets and the breakfasts, which was some of the best food we ate in Bali! The adults loved the beautiful views, accommodating staff, crickets and frogs lulling us to sleep and the wonderful food! We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children. We would love to go back. Only downside (if any) was that the internet wasn't working, but we didn't mind checking in with the digital world while in town. You will need to rent a scooter if you want to get around the area, or the staff can help arrange a driver. Finally, there are staff around the small property throughout the day, so if you want complete privacy it may not be the place for you, or you could inform the owners of the level of privacy you expect, and you can work something out. We would love to stay there again! Thanks so much for creating this lovely opportunity for us!

  • This is a very rustic bungalow set in a serene environment, surrounded by padi fields outside of Ubud. Both Alex & Yoga were very helpful as we had some problem with their wifi. alex came by the property to help and later Yoga too. The place is well maintained by the staff, led by Yuli. They are friendly and obliging. One of the highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. After the first morning, we were looking forward to the breakfast each morning. The home-made jams & lime butter were very good. So was the home-made bread and banana pancakes.

There was a day when we booked a taxi but it did not turn up. Yuli and another lady staff offered to take us to town in their motor-cycles.
