GREAT stay at this adorable house. Had everything we needed and more. very private. The house has so much character. We will definitely stay there again!
Wonderful experience! Marjorie's beautiful home was the perfect base for exploring Nelson and taking day trips to Whitewater ski resort and Ainsworth hot springs. The house is incredibly cozy and the perfect size for two couples. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking with plenty of pots, pans, spices, etc. The hot tub and wood burning stove only add to the ambiance and cozy quality to this great place.
Marjorie was a great host and made it very easy for us to enjoy our stay. Quiet house with lots of sunlight! Would definitely stay there again!
Great place to relax after the slopes
If you are looking for a great location to stay in Nelson, this is a beauty place...perfect for a romantic adventure like we had! Wood burning fireplace, hot tub, kitchen, windows all around, beautiful view and very private. You need a vehicle as it is located about 10 min out of Nelson. It was perfect! Thank you Marjorie for letting us celebrate our anniversary at your wonderful place :)
We rented Marjorie's house for a few days over Christmas at the end of our exploration of the "powder highway" and we're really glad we did. It was a wonderful white Christmas in Nelson. Coming in after skiing Whitewater to the ease of making a roaring fire (supplied with plentiful firewood), relaxing in the hot tub out in the snow, and cooking dinner on the gas stove, was perfect. This is a great house--warm, relaxing, clean and very comfortable. We were lucky to stay here. We hope to come back for longer sometime.
We had a terrific time at Marjorie's beautiful, relaxing home!
Very lovely location - photos don't do it justice! Majorie is an excellent hostess and very accommodating to ensure we had a great experience! So peaceful and serene!! Definitely visit again.
My family found Marjorie's wonderful home at the last minute and couldn't believe it was still available. She was incredibly helpful and a wonderful host.
The house itself is a beautifully decorated post and beam home with wonderful earthy colors and the smell of cedar and wonderful hardwood floors set in a little oasis of forest with the ever present sounds of the creek out the many wonderful windows. Bliss! Nelson is an incredible town with excellent restaurants and wonderful natural beauty and sandy beaches are plentiful on the lake. Our favorite adventure was visiting the nearby Ainsworth Hot Springs for a soak in the wonderful hot spring filled tunnels relaxing against the flowstone and listening the the water cascade into the caves. We will be back and highly recommend this home.
