We had a really wonderful stay at sarahs home. The house is so beautiful and comfortable and it has a huge garden to it, where you could lie in a hammock for example. Perfect if you want a relaxed weekend far away from big cities. You can do little hiking to a gorge, swim in refreshing water from the mountain and visit a sweet small town maybe 1 hour away. Sarah was just the best host. She is such a nice person and will give you advice about everything you wanna know. And also the breakfast was really great. All in one we felt very welcome and would be happy to return someday.
We had a wonderful time at Sarah's place. Love the bush and the solitude so it was perfect. sarah and her friends and family were very kind and generous hosts. The road in and out could be a wee challenge for those not so confident on gravel but was not difficult for us. The place is rustic but ever so friendly. There is a Marvelous terrace that looks down through the bush to a dam and bubbling brook. You are surrounded by glorious mountains with majestic and unique formations. To look at the sea of amazing stars at night and to see the sun slowly kiss light onto the distant dynamic rocky slopes is to die for. sarah is so interesting and so knowledgable about all things french, local and wonderful. She is hosting a wedding etc today so we feel honoured and privileged to have shared her company and retreat amongst the gorges. If you have smaller children this place would be like heaven on horseback for them. We loved it and loved Sarah.
We LOVED staying with Sarah! She is an excellent host: friendly, generous, welcoming, easy going and fun and quite clearly a fabulous person! The location is utterly gorgeous and we enjoyed exploring the little Friday farmer's market, the castle and village of Termes, the wild swimming in the river and gorge and the lovely farm shop in Ville Rouge. The room is fabulous and there is a private terrace and bathroom. We enjoyed meeting many of Sarah's friends and family as they passed through for various amounts of time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we hope to see you again! x
Our stay with Sarah was the highlight of our two week journey through Southern France. Sarah is wonderful. She is funny, kind, lighthearted and intelligent. She gave us the space to do our own thing, but was happy to make herself available to answer questions, or to chat. We really enjoyed our conversations together!
Sarah's home was a perfect retreat. Remote, beautiful and situated in a lush, magnificent landscape full of history and mystical beauty. The room is lovely with a wonderful view and a balcony from which to enjoy a tasty breakfast.
If you want to chill, hike, visit neighbouring villages and enjoy the peace of the French countryside in good company, then this is the perfect spot. Very highly recommended. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you so much, Sarah!
I had the most wonderful night at Sarah's and only wish I could have stayed longer. Her place is delightful, rustic but with all mod cons to welcome travellers who have been on the road for a while. Hot shower, comfy bed, wifi, gorgeous garden, spectacular view and tranquility...couldn't ask for more. And being Australian I loved the relative solitude of Sarah's. Europe can be so busy and a tad overwhelming, so resting up in such a beautiful setting with such a genuine and kind host was bliss.
THANK YOU SARAH! Will definitely come again... Jane Yule
Magnifique endroit, superbe chambre…
