It was a great place and Tarek was very helpful! The beach is a bit away but all the hotels in Princeville are like that, its in a neighborhood with very nice hotels (Westin and St Regis) right down the street. Great views in all the windows, awesome place, we'd stay there again for sure!
Great stay! Amazing location and amazing views. Saw whales and dolphins, and the complex is nice and quiet. Great place for our honeymoon and Tarek was extremely responsive!
Recently my family stayed at Tarek's place. We enjoyed the time and much of what we found matched the expectations. However, a few important details were a surprise and I think it's my responsibility to call them out.
1. The private beach so prominently featured in the description was inaccessible. There's a large warning sign at the head of the trail that leads to it that says the path is extremely difficult and dangerous. We attempted it anyway and soon ran into a completely unnavigable creek crossing.
2. This is not really a 1 bedroom. The overall size of the unit is ~ 600 sq feet. The "bedroom" is a large alcove almost entirely taken up by a King size bed. There's no door between the living room and this alcove, save for a retractable paper screen.
3. There is a large walk-in closet in the bedroom, which would have been great to have, given the scarcity of space. But it does not have a light, making it a challenge to use at night.
4. The sliding door to the bathroom is poorly fitted, leaving 2 finger gaps around it.
5. The overall feel of the place is rather unwelcoming. We use Airbnb regularly and this was the first time we had to provision our own paper towels and toilet paper. There is also a ridiculous sign on the refrigerator warning you not to muck with the setting.
These points notwithstanding, Tarek's pride in his condo is entirely justified. The location is superb: when you wake up in the morning and open the curtains, there's nothing between you and the ocean. The location puts you a short drive from many important North Shore destinations, e.g. Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach.
We really enjoyed staying in Princeville the most. The area was beautiful and the view from the room was exceptional. We hiked down to the beach from the A parking lot and had an amazing snorkeling experience. Really nice private beach. The condo itself is nice, not the most updated, but we were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Tarek's condo was perfect! The view from all rooms could not have been better! Waking to a grand view of the ocean and sunrises, and hearing the ocean waves is without comparison.
The condo was well-appointed with extras we did not expect (beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, laundry detergent, and many extra kitchen tools). The unit was clean when we arrived, and with all tile floors was easy to sweep/keep clean while we were there.
There are many beautiful beaches nearby, in addition to the one near the complex.
Tarek was very quick with responses and also provided a comprehensive list of places to see, restaurants, emergency numbers, etc when we booked.
It was a joy to stay here and we hope to be back soon! Thank you, Tarek!
We stayed in Hawaii for many months at a few different spots and by far Tareks place was the best :-) the views from the house were incredible, we saw whales and waves, so were the walks and beaches right out front and the light house around the corner. Professional, clean, orderly and wonderful doing business with him. Will recommend to anyone coming to the island... Private, safe- you cant go wrong :-)
Tarek's condo has fantastic beach views - we fell asleep to crashing waves and awoke to beautiful sunrises. The place is located close to the Princeville shopping centre for groceries and such...also perfectly situated on the island for numerous beach discoveries while driving to the Na Pali Coast for hiking.
I contacted Oceanic Time Warner cable who's responsible for the wireless, their system is down until December 4th, this is why you couldn't get the wireless Internet to work, they never let us know when something like that happen, we have to call them and that's what I did after I heard from you that there was no wireless connection, totally out of my control, sorry about that!
