Interaction with Guests
Check-In. You are free to arrive whenever you like so long as it is after 3:00 p.m. You will receive a number code once you book and use that to get into the apartment. I respect your privacy but am always available by phone, text, email or Airbnb message if you need anything.
The Park. Meridian Park is the Central Park of DC. An urban park like no other, it's got a huge cascading fountain and 12 acres of green trees and unique sculptures right in the middle of the city.
Central Location. Even better is you are central to 3 of the best areas in DC. Walk one block east and you are right in the bustling U Street Corridor, a few blocks west and you are on 18th street in Adams Morgan. Go south a few blocks and you are right at Dupont Circle. Walk north and you are in Columbia Heights. I love this neighborhood because it is quiet and residential, but still close to all the action.
Safety. This is one of the safest areas of DC. Take caution as you would in any city. Most of NW is pretty safe but this area is a lot more established than some of the up and coming neighborhoods.
Every form of transportation is an option.
Parking? There is only street parking available, but it is FREE. A rarity in DC (or any city), the street next to the apartment is unmetered and there are always spots available on W street (between 15th and 16th). You will even be able to see your car from the window of the unit. The only restriction is a street cleaning on Monday mornings meaning you would have to move it out of the space for about 1/2 hour.
Rental Car? There are 2 on-site Enterprise vehicles in the building's parking lot available to rent. Simply contact Enterprise and they will set it up for you, you can pick up a car from right in front of the building and drop it off in the same spot when you are done. There are also two Zipcar spaces with a similar set up.
Bikeshare? Super easy. There are 3 pickup locations within a block of the building. You can rent a bike for $7/day or get a 3 day pass for $15.
Metro? The Green and Yellow lines are a 3 block walk from the unit. There are Smart Cards in the apartment for you to use, simply take the card with you when you head out for the day and you can charge it at any metro station using a debit card, credit card or cash.
Bus? There is a bus stop less than a block away and 4 different bus lines are available for pick up every 7-10 minutes. You can get straight downtown to the National Mall in about 10-15 minutes.
There are maps of the city and transit information in the apartment.
Other Things to Note
I am friendly, laid back and accommodating. My guests are always happy with my recommendations so definitely don't hesitate to ask. I know the city well. I am well-organized and always available for questions.
Thanks for looking :)
Please just be respectful and leave the place how you found it.
Brynn was extremely helpful and accommodating leading up to your stay in DC. Even though we weren't able to get in until late at night, she made getting in to her apartment extremely easy. The apartment is in a great location with lots of parking found up by the park. Apartment is extremely clean, homey, and comfortable. Was a very pleasant stay in DC
Perfect location near U and 14 Streets (not to mention my favorite park in the city) and just enough space for one person or a couple. The apartment was also impeccably clean and well-stocked with staples (like coffee!). The building had a roof deck with views that really can't be beat. The only thing I wasn't pleased with was the fact that there was construction going on in the rooms next to mine and when I attempted to contact Brynn about it, she did not respond the entire length of my stay. I only heard back from her after check out, and even then it was not to address my concerns. I would still love to stay in the apartment again, but I wish that communication could have been better.
Hi Rachel! Thanks so much for the kind words about the location. Did you maybe confuse my conversations with you with another host you stayed with? Looking back at our conversation, it was very active; we had an extensive back-and-forth. Either way it was my pleasure hosting you and I hope to host you again!
We loved our stay at Brynn's New Hamspire apartment! The bed was comfortable and we loved having a refrigerator. The location was perfect, it was a 10 minute walk to the metro and the UStreet Metro stop allowed us to get on before all the other tourists and have a seat every time. The restaurants on 14th Street were fantastic too. The only downside I would say is there wasn't a microwave to heat our awesome leftovers. We had a fantastic trip and were sad to leave... we hope to go back and visit again soon and would definitely stay here again!
The place was easy to find, clean and simple yet comfortable . The toilet was broken but probably from previous tenant or cleaning staff not mentioning the incident. Otherwise it is located in a very convenient area of Washington .
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Brynn's place. Everything about our stay went smoothly. The neighborhood was awesome and we were able to do all the sightseeing we had planned to do with ease and comfort. Thanks so much for your hospitality, Brynn!
My best friend and I chose this apartment because it looked like it was located in a fun area! When we arrived, we found that we were close to a few restaurants, a Trader Joe's and halfway between two fun areas in DC (Logan Circle and DuPont Circle). Everything is under a mile walk, through pretty neighborhood streets. Brynn was an excellent host, and kindly answered the questions that we had. The apartment was just as described, and was a cute place to stay with my friend. There was a cute park located across the street, although we did not get the chance to walk through it. The building has restricted access to only those who have keys, which made us feel safe. There was also always someone at the front desk. Would definitely recommend this apartment to any friends who are traveling to DC!
