Fabulous! Tamara's place was super cozy, had a beautiful atmosphere and lots of little comforts to make us feel welcome. The bathtuband the fireplace was divine and made our experience! I also loved that we were a 3 min walk to food, amenities, the park and the organic market!
The one suggestion that I would make to make this place even more perfect stay, would be to add a mini fridge. Other than that the toaster, coffee, granola bars, lotions and bathroom accessories was all we could have asked for and more! Would definitely recommend this place.
So glad you enjoyed your stay here! We'd love to add a mini fridge, and actually have one for upstairs... however the wiring for this 1946 house wasn't designed for the amount of electricity we use in 2015 and it the fridge kept tripping the breaker :( Re wiring is on our list of future reno's though!
Thank you for your suggestion!
Overall experience was excellent.Fabulous location to the sea, town centre and restaurants.Hosts were very welcoming.Suite was spacious including modern lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Cook St. village is a great location to enjoy Victoria.
Tamara's place is in a great location for a stay in Victoria. It's close to downtown, and it's on most of major bus routes. Plus, it's located in a village which has all of the resources I needed within walking distance. Tamara was very generous and helpful.
Really enjoyed my stay in Tamara's Cook St Village Suite. From initial contact all the way through my stay, Tamara was super friendly and welcoming. The room itself is really nice with a very comfortable bed, huge ensuite bathroom, plenty of storage space, some snacks and coffee/tea, small work desk, WIFI worked well. One thing to note is the retractable shower handle in the tub may require some technique adjustment to your regular shower routine.;)
The Cook St Village neighbourhood is quiet and has some great options for eating out as well as a small market and a health food store. It's a 25'ish minute walk to downtown Vic, and the adjacent Beacon Hill park is great for a stroll. Tamara was a great host, thanks for the hospitality!
Tamara was a wonderful host. Everything during our stay was so easy. We arrived tired and she had the room accesible for us early. The space was quiet, relaxing, and conveniently located near many amenities and places of interest.

About the Host, Tamara
I am a 30 something and love learning about people and the world. I am quiet, tidy and respectful and appreciate the same in an airbnb host & guests. I love getting to know people on my travels, and am happy to socialize if there's space and time for that. I LOVE good coffee, micro brew beer, fine breads and cheeses, and animals of most any variety.
At home in Victoria, BC, Canada, i own a business in addition to my professional career and enjoy hiking, music, reading, horses, yoga, and writing. I currently share my life with two lovely dogs and a great group of friends.
This petting zoo is an attraction for the child in all of us! Baby goats (run in the morning) and pigs to visit with, peacocks wandering about...it's a retreat in the heart of the city! 5 minute walk.
The view of the Olympic Mountains is spectacular up here. There are also ancestral stone circles on the grassy slopes that provide a lovely place to read, journal or meditate.
On Saturday mornings throughout the summer, the Moss Street Market is a neighborhood delight! Local food, art, entertainment, massage & reflexology booths. A 10min stroll away, Saturdays from 9am-2pm.
Whether you go for a meal, a beverage, appy hour (2 for 1 appy's from 3-5pm daily!) or just a peek, this restaurant has a spectacular panoramic view of the city, the inner harbour and the mountains!
This is an interesting sight to visit as it is the house of the Governor General. The gardens are immaculate and this overlooks Fairfield and the Olympic Mountains. A great place to visit, and free!
It really is a castle, and an interesting place to explore! Even if you don't pay the fee and go in, seeing it from the grounds is worth the time! This would be a good walking tour with Gov't House.
AMAZING fish and ships with a twist! In addition to delicious food, they have advanced sustainability practices. On a sunny day, you can expect a line, though it's right on the dock with much to see!
This is a beautiful, SANDY BEACH! Great to bring lunch and lounge on the sand for the day. Couple with a walk up Gonzales Hill! Shops are a walk away on Fairfield & St Charles for refreshments.
There is an old observatory up here... that ought to explain the expansive view of land and sky! This is a nice walk along the water, and would be a great day's outing with a picnic at Gonzales Beach!
