In one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Victoria, within blocks of all amenities, the ocean and downtown! Charming sweet with private entrance, soaker tub, and very comfortable bed. Great place to retreat in the heart of the village!
Charming, private room and en suite bathroom with private entrance. Located in the heart of popular Cook Street Village, amidst shops, pubs, restaurants and great coffee shops. 5 minute walk to the ocean, 10 minute WALK to downtown, and directly across the street from Beacon Hill park. This space has it all ~ brilliant location and charming amenities!
The room is located on the second floor with a private entrance off of the deck. The suite overlooks the park and has a large en suite with oversize tub (the shower is handheld off the tub). There is plenty of closet space and the room comes equipped with coffee, tea, a toaster & light snacks. There is no kitchen access for short stays, but arrangements can be made for week or month long stays by request.
In addition to the private room for accommodation, a retreat studio is located on site in the garden! You may use the studio for meditation, yoga, dance, piano or writing, with advance notice, at no extra charge. I am also a Life, Business & Consciousness Coach and occasionally offer workshops in this space. As a gift, you're welcome to book a complimentary session with me upon booking.
If you are a Coach or Workshop Facilitator, this space is ideal to bring your work to Victoria and stay on site. The studio is approximately 400 square feet with kitchenette and washroom facilities. Please contact me with regards to booking the studio for workshops.
I live on the main floor of the home with my two dogs, Jonah & Grace. They do not have access to your suite, but you may see them in the yard! I love this city and know many of the hidden gem hikes, restaurants & secret beaches; i'm happy to visit and share info with you!

Really enjoyed it. The location is superb and the suite was great. Very comfortable.
Amazing location. Lovely place to stay, I will definitely book again! Tamara is awesome and very accommodating.
Tamara was an excellent host! Very friendly and warm, I enjoyed the stay in her charming suite. The suite is beautiful, extremely clean, and the bathroom was immaculate! Exactly the space I was looking for. The neighbourhood is close to the seaside, local parks, and it was a breeze getting to downtown. If you are looking for an authentic place to stay I highly recommend this spot, you will walk away happy!
This truly was a charming spot and it made my Victoria experience an exceptional one. The suite was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the location was superb! Highly recommend.
One of the better airbnb experienced I have had, the 1bdrm + very large bath accommodation is the upper floor in Tamara's home, well furnished, clean, spacious, quiet. We were very happy to stay there (2 nights) and to eat all the candy she'd left out.
Tamara was away when we arrived, but her parents were staying at the house when we arrived and went out of their way to be helpful; must be genetic. Tamara also was very friendly and thoughtful.
We were there by bicycle, and appreciated that there was a place in the yard to lock our bikes + that it's a really good location, close to great places to eat, not far from the center, and yet in a more residential and quieter part of town.
Would definitely stay there again.
My girlfriend and I stayed in this suite for a week and we truly appreciated our stay. The suite is clean, well located and large enough for two guests. Walking to the beach, nearby restaurants in Cook Street Village or downtown is very easy.
Most importantly, Tamara is very kind and welcoming! She gave us highly helpful tips with respect to places to eat, places to visit or a cheap way to go back to the airport.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Victoria!
Tamara's place is charming, clean and comfortable, in a location that cannot be beat: across the street from a huge park, and a few minutes' walk to the ocean. The shower thing mentioned in other reviews wasn't an issue for me.
I stayed at Tamara’s place for 4 nights while I was attending a workshop in Victoria. The location is perfect, allowing for good walks along the park and the ocean after a full day of learning. There are also some good places in the neighbourhood, offering coffee, pizza, great salads, health food etc. The Inner Harbour with the museum and the Imax cinema is only a nice 15 minute walk away.
Tamara’s place is quiet and cosy, and it is equipped with a very comfortable bed as well as a huge, tastefully furnished bathroom. I enjoyed the bathtub with candlelight and Epsom salts to unwind in the evenings as well as having the opportunity to start the day by making tea using the kettle in the room and the nice tea selection and tasty energy bars.
I look forward to staying again at Tamara’s place some time in the future.
This is a most beautiful place to stay for three reasons:
1. The host - Tamara - is a wonderful person and makes sure you feel very welcome.
2. The apartment is beautiful. Everything is just perfect.
3. You can't beat the location. 15 min walk from downtown, 5 min walk to the beach, 2 min to the next cafe, pub, supermarket.
If you intend to visit Victoria I heartily recommend Tamara's place.
The unit itself is a functional single room with a private entrance. Tamara is very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean when we arrived, the coffee machine was much appreciated. The only downside to this unit is a lack of practical shower. If you're a bath person then this won't matter (and it's a giant tub) but you can't really have a shower here because--even though there is a shower attachment-- there is no shower curtain to prevent the water from splashing everywhere. I spoke with Tamara about it. She said she is going to renovate the bathroom, and maybe she'll have a curtain installed soon. Again, if you're a bath person, this won't be an issue, but if you're a shower person this is worth mentioning.
I loved staying in this area. There is a drug store and a grocery store just down the street for all of your needs, a dozen restaurants and coffee shops, and my favorite part about staying here: it felt like I was staying in a neighborhood, not some massive tourist area. It was great to be so near to the popular tourist area, but far enough away in a local neighborhood to feel like we were staying somewhere completely different. Also, if you're a runner or a walker, head about a quarter mile south to Dallas Road where there is a paved trail pedestrian that runs along the shoreline with beautiful views.
