Subway station U4 Kettenbrückengasse is in our street and offers easy and fast connection to all train stations (Westbahnhof 8 minutes, Wien-Mitte 5 minutes) and the airport (24 minutes).
If you arrive with a car, there is a private parking in the next house (Nr. 15) for 10 euro per 24 hours. And there is anohter parking lot in 10 minutes walking open 24/7
Even more affordable is to park at the last station of our subway, U4, which you pass when you arrive from the West (Hütteldorf). It costs 3 euro per 24 hours or 14 euro per week. You can than take the subway directly to the apt (14 minutes).
The apartment is on the 3rd floor (with lift) and full of light, on a quiet side street, one way one lane with hardly any trafic.

The kitchentte has a small fridge with small freezer compartment. A 2 pit electrical stove. Basic cooking utensils and basic ingredients like salt, pepper, coffie.
Being so near to the Naschmarkt where many viennese like to have breakfast, it's an area where you can eat out good and affordable.
But if you like cooking also on your vacation, you wll be better off taking the larger studio next door:
Our street is one way, one lane, and there is hardly any trafic, so its very quiet 24/7.
Our area is very safe also late at night, as there are many caffees, gallerys and also the opera house Theater an der Wien, so there is always life here, yet it stays quiet. Very suitable also for single female traveller.
Parking next door available (extra charge, it doesnt belong to me).
Washer and Dryer
Free Bike parking facility with roof in the safe inner court.
The Naschmarkt area near the Opera is one of the loveliest area's of Vienna, alive day and night with many art galleries, ceramic workshops, small bars, chique caffes and restaurants
The Naschmarkt is an attraction on itself, the place for delicates, for fresh produce directly from the Austrian countryside, adventure breakfasts and the historical Art Neuveau houses
On Saturday dont forget to pay a visit to the flee market, Austria's largest of its kind.
The historical Theater an der Wien where Beethoven had is performances hasnt change since that time and serves now as Vienna's (in my opinion) best opera house. Its just few minutes walking from the house.
From here you can walk to all of the major attractions in the old city like the State Opera House, the Albertina museum, Hofburg palace (treasuty, Sisi appartments and many many other musuems).
Subway U4 Kettenbrückengasse is in our street. Wien-Mitte train station is only 5 minutes away.. The airport is only 24 minutes away. Westbahnhof just 8 minutes.
Flexible check in and out hours thanks to our modern code locks.
Please keep always quiet at the staircase, especialy If you arrive late at night, we ask you to keep as quiet as possible.
We have also a luggage room, so on the day of checking-out you can leave your luggage there and pick it up later, using a special code.

This is my second time staying at Michael's flat and again, had a great experience! Clean apartment, great location, Michael was very quick to respond to any questions or queries I had.
Great location, easy check in. Tidy and clean flat. Exactly what I needed for this trip! Michael always responded quickly to any questions or queries.
Great experience, I was there for a week. Location is pretty great. Micheal was available for any questions. I would def stay there again. Thanks for such a positive experience!
We stayed at Michaels for 4 nights. Didn't meet him but always responded quickly via email. He let us keep our luggage in the apartment before check in. There are 3 units within the apartment including a lobby area with washer/dryer. As for our unit it was big enough for two. The bed was firm and comfortable. Enough towels, a dining table, small couch, TV, sink/stove/refrigerator combo. The bathroom was tiny, but adequate and clean. We had a great big window that let in a lot of light. The electronic door code activated locks were handy. The elevator in the building was also a relief. The location is only about 10 minute from a subway stop. There are several places to grab food very nearby, as well as the Naschmarkt (which in my opinion is overrated), but the best resource one street up is the local Billa grocery store. The area is all large apartment buildings with restaurants, or shops in them. You're in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. There is stuff to do, all within a short walk away. You're also a 15 minute walk to the Ringstrasse. We would stay at Michaels again.
Great, clean apartment. Perfect for a couple. Check in was pretty simple using access codes. Michael was really helpful before our stay and gave us ideas of places to visit. He also checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was okay at the studio.

About the Host, Michael
I studied Musicology, German Literature and singing as a counter tenor, mainly Renaissance and Baroque music.
Two of my passions are cooking (Vegan, Macrobiotic, also viennese kitchen) and the city of Vienna and what it has to offer. I do yoga, jogging, walking and biking tours.
It's nice to meet all those people from all over the world and helping them through their way in Vienna. Vienna is not as famous as Paris or Londen, but has so much to offer, so many hidden interessting corners, full of history and art.
