The first floor of this home contains two fireplaces, one in the dining room and the other in the parlor, a Struss Chandelier, an antique dining room table and breakfront cabinet from the Graeser Winery, a hand carved wooden door with wood cuts displaying the Renaissance era of wine-making techniques, and other art pieces. A stained glass mural is above the dining room fireplace hearth which is illuminated by interior "hidden" lighting behind it. An onyx bathroom is also located on this floor with a TV room next to it.
The gourmet stainless steel galley kitchen has copper and onyx counter tops, a Wolf stove, and Bosch appliances and a separate walk-in pantry area with a custom designed extra large sink are also located on the first floor. The flooring is exotic hand-laid tiger wood with each piece of wood measured and specifically chosen for its individual unique "tiger-stripped" design and length to be placed on the floor as a single plank.
There is a side patio in the rear garden area which is the "secret garden" and is covered by passion vines and a shelter. In this secluded area are comfortable chairs and a dining table.

The entire property is surrounded by wrought iron fencing and stone walls for privacy. There is ample curb side parking.

This is a Northern Californian gem - a very special place for adventurers. This isn't your run of the mill hotel, or your steril spare bed in someone's condo. This is a home filled with colorful characters ready for your next novel. Colleen and Richard are amazing people, loving people, and the variety of young and older folks staying here, the wine they make and share, the stories around the dinner table, all of it adds to a very special experience. I just moved to the area and Goddess Cove has indeed been the safe habor for me during this time. And I will always consider Colleen and Richard my first family in Napa.
We arrived at the Goddess Cove Winery which is very close to downtown Napa and met with Colleen and Mr. Grainger. Colleen showed us to our room which was behind the main house, a small room, with a double bed that was a bit worn. The bathroom was located in the main house and was cold because there was no heat. The TV had no service but who goes to the wine country to watch TV. The folks were very welcoming and even shared a bottle of their wine with us. There are two large but friendly dogs. They gave us some great pointers for where to go and what to see in Napa Valley. As mentioned in a previous comment, this is an adventure not for one that is looking for a traditional B&B, we agree.
Colleen was a very gracious host! Enjoyed sharing a bottle of her rose with her and other guests. The eclectic home and guests made for a delightful experience. The proximity to all the Napa vineyards was a real plus. Enjoyed watching Mr. Glaeser and Colleen processing their grape harvest while there. The fall timing made for a less frenetic pace on the roads and at the vineyards!
Pictures look better than it is. It was very dirty. Cats were on the dining table and the bathroom wasn't cleaned up. The smell in the house was... Colleen was a nice person but that didn't make anything better. We decided not to stay...
Colleen and Mr. Graeser were fantastic hosts, welcoming us into their eclectic home with stories, delicious hummus and wine. The house is in a great spot, minutes to downtown Napa. Very friendly and offbeat atmosphere. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a unique local experience.
Colleen and Mr. Graeser were amazing hosts. We were greeted with a bottle of chilled rose and were also able to sample their port made in house. The house is in a fantastic location, walking distance to downtown Napa. They were knowledgeable and offered advice on what to do in the area and how best to spend our time. Overall a very friendly atmosphere and great time. Would recommend to any travelers.
Absolutely charming hostess and host (Colleen and Mr. Greaser). Both absorbed in winemaking and the aurora of Goddess Cove and Napa. Our Room #2 was tiny. Our shower was not. Although never offered the typical coffee in the am, we were graced with wine in the pm. Fruit abounded and Colleen offered us dinner as if we were long time friends. The secret garden was shared with all residents in the household including two cats, a blind dog and Chance - large dog always wearing the 'party hat.' We expected a B&B and got an original experience worth more than all the wine in Napa. Thank you Colleen - we'll stop in next time we are in wine country.

Born on a lettuce farm in the Salinas Valley, I have lived in California all my life. Fifteen years ago I moved to the Napa Valley to remodel and restore a nineteenth century Victorian that I have grown to cherish. I have the privilige of making wine in my very own home alongside one of Napa's highly regarded winemakers. In addition to wine, I enjoy cooking and having my dog walk me :)
