All the comforts of home but steps away from the vibrant nightlife of Davis Square and neighboring Cambridge. Easy access to downtown Boston with multiple transit options. Also great for long term business travelers who need a space for working.

The space
This well lit 1400sq ft (130mq) apartment, part of a 3 family home, is on the second and third floor, has two queen sized beds with independent A/C, dimming lights, a television with cable TV, light blocking blinds and a ceiling fan. Two bathrooms: one has a large walk-in shower with separate tub, the other has a standard shower. There's a closet in each bedroom and a chest of drawers to tuck away your items. Speedy wireless Internet access is included. On the second floor is a living room with 46" TV with full cable and dining room. Off the dining room is a spacious deck that guests may use to relax, have breakfast or soak up some sun (weather permitting).

The kitchen has a dishwasher and microwave plus a peninsula for eating or there's an adjacent dining room. An an office with skylight is available for getting your work done should you need a separate space. Lastly, a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer is included.

Regretfully, parking in the city is problematic and my listing is not good for people who need parking for their entire stay.

Also within walking distance (1 block) are all the shops, restaurants, bars and coffee houses that Davis Square has to offer. A supermarket opened up in early 2017! We are 1 mile (two subway stops) from Harvard Square, 1/4 mile from Porter Square and 4 stops on the T (subway) to Kendall Square - MIT's campus. The Davis Square T stop is only a 4 minute walk from the house.

Davis Square has everything you could want within walking distance: Food, drinks, fitness & yoga studios, live music, outdoor events, a strong microbrewery and locally sourced food culture and some shopping. Anything else you need is a subway ride away.

I'm one of the rare Somerville natives who has called Davis Square home long before it was even remotely hip to do so. My days are mostly spent attached to my laptop, working from home so I'll be available for any advice or directions.

I've traveled (and continue to travel) quite a bit. I'm often in London and Italy but I've been to Guatemala, Poland, Czech Republic (Prague), Spain (Malaga), Costa Rica, Iceland, Ireland (Dublin), Australia, Mexico (Los Cabos) and France (Paris).

I speak Italian fairly fluently and that comes from frequent trips and studies. I'd say my Spanish is intermediate, but I find language studies fascinating overall. I'm currently working on French!

I'm somewhat of a foodie and I do enjoy trying different beers. Boston has a very strong local beer culture that allows you to explore what good beer can really taste like! People looking for national brands will be disappointed (and possibly taunted by bartenders if you ask for a Bud).
