We stayed at dar kamar for 5 night and it was fantastic! We arranged pickup from the airport from one of the drivers from the riad- Alal. Jean jacques stopped by our first morning (and most mornings) to give us suggestions and tips for touring Marrakech- and to make sure things were ok. Senna prepared a great Moroccan breakfast complete with fresh orange juice, then would clean the rooms and make up the beds in the morning. She also offers laundry service. The riad itself was great. All rooms clean and bathrooms nice- beautiful space and decor. The rooftop sitting area was super nice also. Other reviews mentioned spotty wifi, but we didn't have any issues with this. Jean Jacques helped us arrange a day trip to Essaouira with Said- which was great, and much cheaper than some of the tours we had been looking at. We found out too late that he could also do a similar trip through the Atlas Mountains- but we had already booked another tour. Overall the riad was wonderful, centrally located, but a small way off the beaten path- so it's very peaceful. We were 6 adults (3 couples) so we used the 3 rooms with double/queen beds. All the bedrooms had individual AC units which were great. There is a 4th room that has 2 twin (single) beds in it. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. We found the rooms very comfortable (we used two of the four bedrooms). Wifi was not really functional after the first day, but we did not inform the host (we kept forgetting). Hot water was sufficient. Philippe was extremely helpful and kind. I would certainly stay here again. There was a mix-up regarding airport pick-up, but otherwise all ran smoothly. Hot tub was fun, courtyard is dreamy.

Pros: • Location - very close to everything (shopping and restaurants) and convienent to drop things off at the riad or take a short break during a day of shopping/exploring • Services - we used the arranged driver, Said, and he was amazing for airport transportation and day trips. Sanah came daily to make breakfast, she was so kind and the breakfast was very convienent. Phillipe came to tend to the riad and logistics, and was helpful and friendly throughout the stay. • Riad - the place itself is lovely, spacious and so pretty, even more so than the pictures can capture. It's well appointed and the lay out is great. The 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and common areas provide ample space for a large group. Cons: • Heat - the main heater broke the second day, but was replaced by a second heater. Unfortunately, the second heater also had some minor issues but was sufficient to heat the common area most nights. One upstairs bedroom did not have heat, but there were extra blankets in the closet so that helped. • Water heat - the water heater must have broken the first day, because it was very cold to the point of not being able to shower but once we let them know it was fixed by the second day. After that there was a sufficient amount hot water. With four bathrooms and a kitchen it is understandable there wouldn't be unlimited hot water but even with staggering shower times and short showers there were some cold shower days. • Wifi - even in the common areas everyone had trouble with the wifi. Thankfully we had other phones that we created "hotspots" from otherwise we wouldn't have had reliable wifi. Little to no wifi available in the upstairs bedrooms. Note: Communication - it's hard to put this under pro or con as it was both. From the beginning, very pleasant and responsive. Flexibile in changes to the number of people and responding to questions or concerns at the riad. Unfortunately there were some miscommunications along the way. Some in person, as we spoke English and minimal French. Others through the airBNB messaging system. Unfortunately we did have some water heat and heat issues while staying. At first the hosts were very responsive and understanding. Toward the end, as we continued to have heat issues, the communication became a little unpleasant. I'm still torn about this, as they were so helpful, responsive and understanding throughout the stay. However, the last bit of unpleasant miscommunications left everyone in the group feeling a little uncomfortable.

A very very pretty riad. Splendidly large and terrifically located, with hanging plants and beautiful stone walls and floors. Philippe offered great suggestions for dinner on the nearby square, and breakfasts were a nice option, esp with the homemade cornmeal and rosemary flatbread made by sainah. The wireless was bad, sorry to say--have encountered great wi fi all over Morocco ( including very old restored places in medinas) except for here. My very pretty room ,decorated with musical instruments, also didn't have much hot water. So some systems upgrades would be nice on an otherwise great place.

Nath and his team of hosts were absolutely amazing!! Leading up to our vacation Nath made suggestions and answered all of my questions (which were plentiful as this was our first time in Marrakech). The Riad itself is beautiful and spacious. The creative decorating results in an aesthetic that allowed us go unwind and be comfortable after long days exploring the Medina. The location couldnt be better as we were a short 7 min walk to the main square in the medina, but very close to an additional square with a plethora of taxis that allowed us to get to other places quickly. The Riad slept our party of 6 without any issue. The house attendant (forgot her name) was wonderful as she made us breakfast 2 days and kept the space tidy for the length of our stay. Finally, our driver Said really was the game changer for us. He was available and willing to transport us whenever we needed. We took full advantage of his services and took some day trips to ride quads and to the Atlas mountains. He was kind, thoughful and answered all of our curious questions about the city and Moroccan culture. I would most definitely recommend this Riad to anyone looking for a seamless, relaxing vacation in Marrakech.
