The Space

As you can see in the pictures, the rooms are part of a large two-storey Neoclassical house at Filopappou Hill. A Traditional Greek Neoclassical house is a rare thing to find in Athens, since many have been demolished through the years, but those who are still standing are renovated and considered landmarks.
The Filopappou hill is situated just in the historical center of Athens, in 5 minutes walking distance of Acropolis and Plaka,15 minutes to Syntagma, Monastiraki and Thissio area.

The house is on the ground floor and measures 130 square meters. It has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and a second one with a queen size bed and a sofa bed, a large kitchen with a big wooden dining table (with a nice breakfast waiting for you),a spacious living room with two sofas (one that can be transformed into a bed as well) and a bathroom with a spacious bathtub.

The whole apartment is very bright and cheerful, with lovely colors and beautiful furniture, made with style and love. It is ideal for your stay in Athens.

The apartment is fully equipped with everything one needs to live comfortably in everyday life. The location is unique, located 3 minutes from a metro station, right into the hill where one can ride and walk (where every walk or ride should begin so as to discover Athens), 5 minutes walking distance from the Acropolis Museum as well.

The neighborhood is very quiet and very close you can find restaurants, bars and supermarkets.

My presence there will be almost unnoticeable. I am at work many hours per day and i enjoy going out to dinner or a movie to relax, after work.
Therefore you will only see me when you will want to see me, so as for me to help you with your stay or give you ideas and proposals concerning your stay in Athens!

  • We had a short stay in Katherina's beautiful home. It is in a perfect location in Athens, which made sight sighting incredibly easy. She put a lot of effort into our visit, by graciously providing breakfast foods, the use of her kitchen, and instructions for the rest of her house. Katherina was incredibly friendly and gave us a map with recommendations for activities and places to eat. We had the best meal of our vacation at her favorite restaurant! Katherina also arranged a taxi for us to get to the port in the early morning. Thank you Katherina!

  • Katerina was lovely! A super friendly woman in a great old house. She was able to give me all the info I needed, from restaurants and bars to making sure I had an early morning taxi to the Port. It was a true pleasure meeting her and I wish I had been able to stay longer.

  • We stayed for 3 nights at Katerina's place and it was a very nice experience. The house is just as the photographs show. The location is excellent because it is very near the Acropolis, the new museum, Plaka … but is it is quiet and peaceful. It was nice to come back home at night to Katerina's after a day spent walking and sightseeing.
She leaves everything in the kitchen so that you can prepare your own breakfast as you please, and the next morning you would find new juices in the refrigerator.
Katerina is very nice, organized and helpful
I recommend this place and I would come back here with pleasure

  • Katerina's home is in a very central location very close to Acropolis and Plaka etc. She was very helpful and even let us leave our bags before the check in time.
She was very forthcoming with information about sights and transport etc. Overall a very favourable experience. Recommended.

  • Thank you Katerina for the lovely stay in your home. Your location was fabulous and we enjoyed the easy access to all of the attractions as well as the metro and restaurants. Hope we are able to make our way back to Athens soon!

  • Everything was great, Katerina, the house, the location.

    We would stay there again.

  • Our stay was unfortunately very short - Katerina gave us a warm welcome and we felt immediately very much 'at home'. The flat is full of character, adorned by art, posters and artefacts. We had access to a comfortable living room, a small but clean bathroom, a friendly, welcoming kitchen and most important of all a bedroom with a large comfortable bed and ceiling ventilator! And the Acropolis is just a few minutes away. A definite recommend if you are looking for something genuinely individual in the older part of athens - we will certainly return for a longer stay!
