If that's what you want, this has it.
A completely private 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment in a great location.
You will be hard pressed to find anything this size and this close to the heartbeat of the musical, gastronomic and cultural delights of New Orleans at this price point. Just 3 blocks to the French Quarter, 1 block from Louis Armstrong Park and 2 blocks from Esplanade, you're smack dab in the middle of trendy Treme, while being an easy stroll or bike ride to the French Quarter, the Marigny or Frenchman St for a nightly musical smorgasbord.
Seeking a single/couple of nonsmoking guests who can appreciate a clean and comfortable respite.

Guests have access to their private apartment and are welcome to use the back yard area that is a shared common area for the home. The apartment has wifi and access to a large and diverse DVD collection.
Parking in standard, free, on-street parking. There is typically ample space directly in front of the home. Parking during busier times of the year (i.e. Mardi Gras) can be more difficult.
Interaction with Guests
Guests are given directions/information on how to let themselves into the unit. We have normal work lives; however, live on property and are easily available to answer any questions, say hello or chat. Level of interaction once on property is totally up to each guest's preference.
Our home is in the historic Treme neighborhood. Treme is definitely a neighborhood in transition and is full of character. If you are expecting pristine looking homes and perfectly groomed lawns, Treme is not the neighborhood for you. Feel free to research more online about the neighborhood.

Whitney and her husband were excellent hosts. Very kind and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood, very close to the French quarter - I really walked everywhere!
The listing was exactly as shown on the pictures. My cousin and I enjoyed staying there and we had everything that we needed and it felt very homely. It did not take us long to walk to Bourbon St or to Decatur St and there were some nice restaurants about 5-10 mins walk away.
Our host family was friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. The location worked well for us as we were able to comfortably walk the French Quarter, and use the street cars to venture further afield. The apartment was well set up and equipped with maps, brochures and taxi information, all of which served us well during the busy Mardi Gras week. People in the neighbourhood were very friendly, and of course proud of their great unique and musical city.
PERFECT. PERFECT. PERFECT.
Not only will I echo every other reviewer's complimentary remarks about the apartment's layout, the adorable details, cleanliness, and proximity to the city's attractions, I also want to tell you about my beautiful hosts.
I had to stay an additional night because my flight was canceled due to the expectation of bad weather back home. Whitney and Thomas could not have been more responsive and flexible. It's because of repeated demonstrations of generosity and humanity like theirs that I recommend AirBnB over traditional hotel stays and cannot wait to stay here again.
Whitney was a great host who always responded quickly to emails. She was very helpful with any questions or request we had. Bunny's apartment was very clean and accommodating with all essentials supplied. The apartment is a short walk to french quarter. The area looked a little run down but we always felt safe walking to french quarter in the evenings. We had a great stay at bunny's with our only complaint being the bed is too comfortable to get out of.
Great place, good location. Unfortunately we weren't able to meet with Whitney or Tom but they were very accommodating with check in and out and we very much enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

My name is Whitney and I am a New Orleans transplant. Originally from North Carolina- I have lived in New Orleans since July 2010. Although I miss North Carolina often, I have fallen in love with New Orleans- the food, the spirit of the people, the music, the culture, the history, the tradition and even my husband, Tom! New Orleans has treated me well and I hope to repay it the favor for many years to come.
I have been an airbnb host since July 2012. The property was first listed on airbnb by the previous owner "Belinda." We want to be able to provide all of our guests with a quiet, nice and convenient place to stay as they take in all that New Orleans has to offer.
We hope to meet with you soon and help to make your New Orleans experience memorable.
Whitney (& Tom) :)
