  • I was very happy here. Mori was a great host & it made a fun base for a great trip to Tokyo.

  • Most of the things you'd hope for in an AirBnB host were present. I was pretty much satisfied with the room, internet, bathroom, and building location. I would recommend this place if you don't mind riding the train 30-1hr daily to the main areas in Tokyo. Yuichiro is quite busy so he wasn't around much but you aren't hassled by anyone and the other occupants in the building are very friendly. Internet was fast, the mattress a little uncomfortable, the heater was broken (it wasn't a serious issue tho since it was warming up in April), the building was a bit of a walk to the station (but a nice walk), and the eating locations were limited (there are cooking facilities in the building if you do cook). Overall a good deal for the money when you compare it to prices you'd pay in the main city.

  • A bit of a walk up hill from the Eda Station, but a great place. Everyone sharing the building was really nice and helpful. Mori was happy to help us with any questions we had and gave us great directions to get around.

  • I really enjoyed my time at the Social Apartment. Everyone was very nice and helpful if I needed anything, and Mori, the host, was very accommodating. It was very easy to make friends with the other residents with the shared living spaces where people would eat meals together or just hang out. Also, it is very close to the train station so traveling around Tokyo is very easy. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you are on a tight budget.

  • Mori and Mari were very kind. Mori checked up on us once in a while to make sure our stay was comfortable and provided us suggestions for the quickest transportation to get to our destination. The room is like a dorm room. One bed, cabinet, and a desk with a chair. The bed is larger than a twin size bed, but smaller than a full size bed. The toilet is shared with men and women on the same floor. The floor also has an iron with the iron board and a washer/dryer. The showers are on the first floor separate for males and females. There are 4 stalls in the bathroom. The common room is the living room connected to the kitchen. In order to get to the social apartment... you have to walk up 2 tall hills. That part was very tiring, but the area is safe so walking alone at night is fine. If you are carrying heavy luggage... good luck going up those hills. There is a large convenient store if you are hungry or want water. There is a decently price24 hour fast food near the train station where you have to get off. There is a cake vendor that sells cake for 105 yen, it is very good. Mori was kind and met us at the train station and provided a taxi ride to the apartment on our first night. Mori is very kind and invited us to the apartment party. If you like to socialize, I highly recommend Mori place because you will definitely meet new people each day. Don't worry, everyone is nice and most know English.
