Great place to be nearby the action, while the location itself is quiet.
Dolores is a very hospitable host and her Irish breakfast is excellent.
My cousin and I spent a few days at Dolores's B&B. . She was very welcoming and accommodating, even when we came in quite late at night. The location of the B&B was very close to the city center but did not have a lot of traffic going past the house. Each morning we were given a great breakfast, which was lovely. We had a wonderful stay at her place and I would recommend staying here if you are ever in Galway. :)
The B&B is just a few blocks from Galway Center, so we could easily get to restaurants, pubs, and shopping. The entire B&B is adorable and cozy. Dolores was extremely friendly and helped us with information about the city and gave us recommendations of where to go. Breakfast the next morning was quick and we had a few options for food, which was nice.
Great location near the city centre and other sights. Room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast each morning was delicious. Only downside was that the wi-fi didn't work at all.
As part of a string of good luck in finding exceptional accommodation in Ireland, I came across Dolores's B&B in Galway.
I booked over my phone while on a train from Dublin, slightly nervous I would not find a place to stay. Dolores responded to me quickly and offered me a room for my two nights in the town.
The location of her B&B is close enough for many to walk from public transportation, and a tenner from the train station/Eyre Square.
It is perfectly located for those who wish to be close to the picturesque water views, pubs, and restaurants, and just far enough from the action to ensure a quiet nights rest.
Dolores was a friendly and uncomplicated host who without intrusion ensured I had everything I needed as promised in her listing.
Breakfast was lovely, and my room was comfortable and spacious considering the reasonable price.
I was glad to have encountered Dolores on my stay in Galway, would not hesitate to stay with her again, and highly recommend her accommodation if you are looking for a place to stay.
Loved our stay with Dolores in Galway. Dolores took really good care of us. She was even kind enough to have breakfast for us a little earlier one morning as we were taking an early bus to Knock. The room can feel a little tight for two at times, but it was perfect for my friend Carissa and I. The bathrom was really nice and clean, as was the bedroom. Sharing was not a problem at all. The city center, bus & train station were a short walk away. My friend and I walked to everything we wanted to see. We had a lovely stay and it was a great first experience in Galway. We absolutely loved Dolores!
Dolores is a lovely hostess. The hostel is well located, organized and very cozy.
Absolutely perfect spot! Dolores is the most welcoming, helpful and hospitable hostess! The location is just a 2 minute walk from the city center, breakfast is delicious, and the B&B is delightfully charming and warm. Highly recommend staying here on your trip to Galway. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Dolores was a wonderful host! I had a few last minute changes since I was backpacking in Galway and she was quick to respond and very flexible. Such a lovely woman, very kind and extremely hospitable
Can't recommend staying with Dolores enough. A friend and I stayed in the twin room for a week during Galway Race Week (if you've never been during race week it's a must do!). The room was as described, clean, tidy, fresh towels, and with really comfortable beds. The Irish breakfast is delicious to. But the best bit is the location. You are literally a couple of minutes walk to all the wonders of Galway's restaurants, bars and entertainment. Plus you can take a really nice walk/run around the bay to Salthills and see the brave people who swim in the sea in any weather! You can drive to Connemara or The Burren in about 1hr to.
Dolores will give you all the info you need about the local area and transport etc should you need it.
We'll definately be back. Great value and a wonderful host. Thanks again Dolores and Bernhard :)
