One of the things I love about this neighborhood is that while it is quite central to many interesting sites and places to visit, it feels like a quiet, residential neighborhood. Our house is so peaceful and yet so convenient for finding your way around the city. The views looking west are spectacular as are the sunsets. Amenities like grocery stores, coffee shops, a great all American Diner (Mel's), drugstores, restaurants, Golden Gate Park with running and biking trails, great vintage clothes shopping( Haight St.) are all close by.
Yes there are several MUNI bus lines within a 1 to 4 block radius.
I have a great friend who drives a taxi and she gives special rates to my guests.
Other Things to Note
Yes I am an energy healer and do energy clearing on my home on a daily basis so if you are sensitive to energy this is a great choice for you!
This is a no smoking property. No raucous parties. We appreciate guests who treat our home as if it is their own. We LOVE to make your experience as comfortable and lovely as possible and we maintain the "energy" at our Palace by working with the Archangels and doing frequent energy clearing. It is a peaceful, relaxing and inspiring environment. We ask all guests to clean up after themselves in public spaces and to be thoughtful and considerate. Prompt communication of any issues that may be affecting your stay is appreciated so that we can do everything possible to accommodate your needs!
Elizabeth was a wonderful host with complementary tea and coffee 3 Other friendly & welcoming people living in the house as well. Our bedrooms view was breathtaking in the mornings and during sunset. Tons of things to do walking distance and bus stops nearby. I was walking the streets late and still felt safe being so close to USF. I was never bored being in her house cause i could just walk around downstairs and her balcony for hours and look at beautiful paintings and sculptures she created. Thanks again for being so lovely Elizabeth & family
Great stay at the palace. Elizabeth is so welcoming and really strives to deliver a great experience to her guests. Such beautiful views and a relaxing and peaceful place to stay in SF.
Great house, good location, and I enjoyed talking to some of the people that lived there.
Our stay with Elizabeth was fantastic. Her lovely and unique family home is located within walking distance to the park and Haight area. She was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. If you want to see most of the city, Elizabeth's house is highly recommended.
What a marvellous energy greets you when you stay with Elizabeth, I immediately felt very welcomed into her gorgeous and unique San Francisco home - I was even greeted by a native humming bird! I stayed here for two nights and it was so peaceful. The Palace of the Soul is truly a special place filled with items of interest and objects of art and soul. This will be my first option for accommodation next time I am in San Francisco.
I found the location to be exactly what I wanted, immersed in the local vibe away from the touristy buzz. Walking distance to Haight Street was easy. Elizabeth had all the information that I needed to find my way around, with some of her recommendations, one of which was Mels Diner! What a slice of American culture that was!! If you are not an American, that is a must to experience
Thank you Elizabeth for your amazing home and hospitality.
Thank you Ron! yes I would have loved the time for more conversation too although I am so happy that the environment and energy helped your work go smoothly. Thank you for being a fantastic guest and I totally understand the time constraints. Many blessings on your new endeavor!
Elizabeth and her family were amazing hosts. From the warm welcome to the rejuvenating spirit of her home, I would gladly stay there again and would highly recommend to any fellow travelers.

I am a visionary artist and teacher. I live in San Francisco at the gorgeous Palace of the Soul where I love to welcome my tribe of Cosmic Cowgirls as well as mystic adventurers from other lands!!! I have been a traveler all my life, from the time I was 6 months old and it is a great pleasure to open my very unique home to other fellow adventurers.
I adore people....all kinds and all ages and as a host I will welcome you and I am willing to be your guide to this wonderful city or let you discover it for yourself. I do my best to be sensitive to what it is that you want from your stay and to provide you with a warm, welcoming and peaceful sanctuary from where you can explore this incredible city.
I work at home as an artist and so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available for check ins and visiting with my guests if they like to visit. I live with my sweetheart, Fast Freddy Sims who is a very talented blues musician, songwriter, artist and landscape designer. My youngest daughter (18) still lives at home and my older two children come and go (23 and 20). I would describe our household as a loving, kind family who are very passionate and dedicated to creative self-expression and the arts.
I have lived in Italy, England, Brazil, and Mexico and traveled to Greece, Scotland, Peru,Germany, Holland, Portugal, Spain, the Seychelles, the Caribbean, France and there are probably countries that I am forgetting. My style of traveling has changed throughout the years and so I believe that I understand and am open to travelers of all types.
I love being an Airbnb host for a multitude of reasons. These include what I see as a new culture and community that Airbnb has given birth to. For me it means being part of a loving and inspiring perspective that views the world and all people in it as part of one human family. I have discovered that we are so often connected in ways that are wonderful and enriching and delightfully surprising!! I am passionate about the importance of hospitality in our interactions with others!
A little bit about my ART;
I am a Contemporary Symbolist. I create art to heal myself and others and work with prayer, meditation and sacred symbols and archetypes to reweave and re-story my life in a way that is legendary, passionate, joyful and ALIVE!!
My art depicts a spiritual journey, the telling of a story that contactsthe viewer at the level of the soul. My art inspires others to look more deeply at the work and at themselves as they view layers and layers of prayer, hope, paradox and spirit woven together between particles of paint, bead, rhinestone, shell, bone and glitter. As a teacher, I encourage my students to explore materials that animate their sense of wonder, joy and play.
By playing with the sparkle of jewels, beads & glitter the divine sparkle of imagination that lives within them is awakened and they gain access to their own healing and personal transformation. Creating in this way leads to the understanding of how the sacred exists in matter and this wisdom integrates the spiritual, emotional and physical selves. My world view is that of a symbolist. I am present to the meaning in all aspects of life.
I am a trained energy healer as well as being a visionary artist and teacher. I maintain the energy of our home with a beautiful array of different techniques, including working with the Archangels and clearing heavy, dense energy with sacred sage spray, blessings and prayers. I love to add extra blessings for all my guests so that their stay in my home is peaceful, relaxed and joyful. It is a delight to me to hear how well people sleep and how wonderful they feel when they are visiting.
I believe that the greatest gift of my life is the presence of other people in it and your presence in my home is a gift that I am grateful for.
