The Space

A very unique artistic mansion with mythological (email hidden), gorgeous, expansive views to the west, an eat in kitchen, sunken living room with fireplace, large garden sanctuary with peaceful water feature. It is sunny, bright , clean & comfortable while still retaining old world European charm.
Two Wi-fi networks are available throughout the home. The Palace is located in a very central neighborhood near the University of San Francisco. It is a 1 to 2 block walk to MUNI lines and easy to take public transportation to any area of the city. The on the street parking is fairly easy as across the street parking is available all day with no time limit. Our home is located on a double plus size lot and is very large and spacious for a SF home.
Home;
A beautiful spanish style large home that is called the Palace of the Soul in the USF district of San Francisco. The main house features Elizabeth's gorgeous, spiritual art that celebrates the Divine Feminine. Elizabeth is an amazing welcoming, gracious hostess! This will be an unforgettable experience!!! Her home is like a museum!!
Our home is a creative sanctuary and oasis for creative, artistic types and those that love culture and the arts. Because the home is so large it is easy to have private time as well as time with Elizabeth's friendly family if desired.
We are happy to have our guests enjoy the gorgeous views and sunsets from the deck or sit in the peaceful garden and enjoy the beautiful birds and flora. A lovely place to meditate on a sunny day.
There is a cable tv in the family room and guests are free to use it upon request.
Rooms;
There are two rooms in the Main House and a spacious studio apartment that looks out upon the beautiful garden, available for guests. This one has a comfortable queen size bed, a corner bamboo desk with a gorgeous view looking west. It is very clean and bright. It has a bathroom right next to it with a shower/tub combo.The bathroom is private.
We are a very friendly and creative family and love to take good care of our guests and add special touches to make their visits lovely. This bedroom is great for one person or a couple or two friends. It is like a magical, peaceful getaway and is the perfect place to stay to rejuvenate yourself or enjoy the gorgeous city of San Francisco and then return home at the end of the day to relax. It faces the garden and is very quiet with no street noise.
Neighborhood;
It is in a safe, residential neighborhood near USF and within walking distance to the famous Haight-Ashbury district, Golden Gate Park, the DeYoung Museum, Academy of Sciences, Botanical Gardens and Japanese Tea Garden. It is also walking distance to a large array of grocery stores and great, reasonable, neighborhood restaurants. It is easy to get anywhere in San Francisco on public transportation from this very central location. . It is close to Clement St. which has an array of fabulous and inexpensive restaurants. It is walking distance to Laurel Village which has cafe's restaurants, beauty supply stores, banks, grocery stores, Walgreen's (local pharmacy), bookstore, clothing stores and Beautiful which has great organic take out food. It is walking distance to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Target.
Walking distance also to the Presidio and about a 20-30 minute bus ride to Union Square, downtown, Haight Street, Castro and Fisherman's Wharf.

Guest Access

The guests will have access to the kitchen, where they will be given their own space in the refrigerator, the Mermaid Bar where they are welcome to relax an have a glass of wine, the deck and garden, the family room with cable t.v., the sunken living room with fireplace and fabulous art and baby grand piano. They will have a private bathroom. Coffee and tea are complimentary throughout the day.

Interaction with Guests

We are a friendly family and are also sensitive to the needs of our guests. It is possible to have a great deal of privacy or to socialize as the guests desire.

The Neighborhood

One of the things I love about this neighborhood is that while it is quite central to many interesting sites and places to visit, it feels like a quiet, residential neighborhood. Our house is so peaceful and yet so convenient for finding your way around the city. The views looking west are spectacular as are the sunsets. Amenities like grocery stores, coffee shops, a great all American Diner (Mel's), drugstores, restaurants, Golden Gate Park with running and biking trails, great vintage clothes shopping( Haight St.) are all close by.

Getting around

Yes there are several MUNI bus lines within a 1 to 4 block radius.
I have a great friend who drives a taxi and she gives special rates to my guests.

Other Things to Note

Yes I am an energy healer and do energy clearing on my home on a daily basis so if you are sensitive to energy this is a great choice for you!

  • Our three nights in SF with Elizabeth were our first experience with Airbnb. So we did not know what exactly to expect... We had a very nice stay with Elizabeth. We had a private room and private bathroom. So privacy was never an issue. Elizabeth gave us a heartly welcome and showed us around the house. The entire house (email hidden)ly ambience because of all the colors, paintings and other art objects.
    We received a personal shelf in the fridge, so that was nice as well.
    Since we had limited time to visit SF, we've spend as much time outside as possible. We parked our car in the street for the entire three days and bought a three day pass/clipper card for public transport. Easy access to line 31 and 38.
    Elizabeth, her partner and daughter (Sofia) all seemed genuine and very nice people. I would certainly recommend her airbnb!

    Thanks and till next time!

  • Staying at Elizabeth place was a great experience! My husband and I stayed there for four nights. The palace was amazing, inside was like an art gallery and outside there was a very nice garden. The room was excellent, very clean and with a really beautiful view. The bed was the best bed we have ever tried!
    Elizabeth is a very good host, we really enjoyed the time with her and also with her family. She is very respectful with your space and privacy and also helps you with everything you need, like places to go, transport to take, near restaurants…When you arrive she has a printed file for you with a lot of helpful info.
    The location is great, because you have near a lot of public transport and you can be in every place in some minutes.
    We really recommend staying at the palace!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Elizabeth and her family and had a wonderful experience. This was our first airbnb stay, and really enjoyed it. Elizabeth was very helpful with questions we had about the city. We had a private room with an attached bathroom and a great view of the hills of San Francisco. The room was very clean and we were given a shelf in the fridge, which really came in handy. We got to know Elizabeth and her family, as well as the other airbnb guest, over dinner chats. I would highly recommend the palace and am grateful for such a fun stay.

  • We spent 6 nights with our wonderful hosts Elizabeth, Fred, Mary, Sophia and Tucker (gorgeous, quiet Jack Russell dog). Communication before our visit was excellent and we found the house easily. We were able to park across the street from the house with the exception of an hour on Monday morning for street cleaning. The room was delightful - just like the photos. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and clean. We enjoyed the access to the kitchen and laundry facilities, making our stay seem like we were part of the household. The view from the house is spectacular particularly at sunset. The location is in a quiet street only a block from San Francisco University. It was great for walking to the Golden Gate Park (about 4 blocks), the Wholefoods market (about 7 blocks - organic foods supermarket) and the Clements Street restaurants (about 7 blocks - funky dining area). At the corner of the street is Turk St which has buses running every 15 minutes to the city centre (about 20 minutes ride). We would definitely recommend staying at the 'Palace of the Soul' and thank our hosts for their hospitality.

About
I am a visionary artist and teacher. I live in San Francisco at the gorgeous Palace of the Soul where I love to welcome my tribe of Cosmic Cowgirls as well as mystic adventurers from other lands!!! I have been a traveler all my life, from the time I was 6 months old and it is a great pleasure to open my very unique home to other fellow adventurers. I adore people....all kinds and all ages and as a host I will welcome you and I am willing to be your guide to this wonderful city or let you discover it for yourself. I do my best to be sensitive to what it is that you want from your stay and to provide you with a warm, welcoming and peaceful sanctuary from where you can explore this incredible city. I work at home as an artist and so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available for check ins and visiting with my guests if they like to visit. I live with my sweetheart, Fast Freddy Sims who is a very talented blues musician, songwriter, artist and landscape designer. My youngest daughter (18) still lives at home and my older two children come and go (23 and 20). I would describe our household as a loving, kind family who are very passionate and dedicated to creative self-expression and the arts. I have lived in Italy, England, Brazil, and Mexico and traveled to Greece, Scotland, Peru,Germany, Holland, Portugal, Spain, the Seychelles, the Caribbean, France and there are probably countries that I am forgetting. My style of traveling has changed throughout the years and so I believe that I understand and am open to travelers of all types. My ART; My art depicts a spiritual journey, the telling of a story that contactsthe viewer at the level of the soul. My art inspires others to look more deeply at the work and at themselves as they view layers and layers of prayer,hope, paradox and spirit woven together between particles of paint, bead, rhinestone, shell, bone and glitter. As a teacher, I encourage my students to explore materials that animate their sense of wonder, joy and play. By playing with the sparkle of jewels, beads & glitter the divine sparkle of imagination that lives within them is awakened and they gain access to their own healing and personal transformation. Creating in this way leads to the understanding of how the sacred exists in matter and this wisdom integrates the spiritual, emotional and physical selves. My world view is that of a symbolist. I am present to the meaning in all aspects of life. I am a trained energy healer as well as being a visionary artist and teacher. I maintain the energy of our home with a beautiful array of different techniques, including working with the Archangels and clearing heavy, dense energy with sacred sage spray, blessings and prayers. I love to add extra blessings for all my guests so that their stay in my home is peaceful, relaxed and joyful. It is a delight to me to hear how well people sleep and how wonderful they feel when they are visiting. I believe that the greatest gift of my life is the presence of other people in it and your presence in my home is a gift that I am grateful for.
