  • First of all, Elizabeth was such a kind, caring, and trusting host! She and her family are all artists. The house was full of her magical art works. It felt like living in an art gallery. The garden of their house was so so beautiful and peaceful. And the view from both the room and the balcony above the garden was stunning!! The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The whole experience was spiritual and beyond my high expectation. I will definitely come back!

One tip for visitors: the house is not very close to touristy/crowded locations by public transportation, but if you use uber (a cab app) there are always many cars around available (I always use uberx for cheaper rates and better services). And the cab fair from the house to anywhere you would possibly want to visit in SF is very reasonable.

  • I have stayed with Elizabeth twice. When I return to San Francisco I will return to the Palace of the Soul. Elizabeth's home is comfortable and welcoming with the most beautiful art. My room has always been spotless and the bed is comfortable with the best linens. A perfect location, close to Golden Gate Park, Laurel Village, Haight Ashbury, and the University of San Francisco. Excellent connections to the rest of the city by public transportation. The garden and public spaces are for Elizabeth's guests to use and they are lovely. I think of Elizabeth's Palace of the Soul as my home in San Francisco.

  • My young adult daughter and I had a spectacular time in San Francisco and part of our joy came from staying in our room with a view at Elizabeth's home. We could see the Pacific from the window! Coordinating things with the hostess- Elizabeth, and in this case additionally an alternate hostess- Jeannine as well, was easy and everything went without a glitch. We felt welcomed and Jeannine even made me yummy cupcakes for my birthday. The room was comfortable and being able to visit in this art filled home was quite a treat. The outside spaces were landscaped beautifully ; peaceful and welcoming. We were close to public transportation, and walking distance to the golden gate park. I always felt safe walking in this community.
I would recommend this home highly.
(As an aside.. Some of the artwork was of nudes and it was a little uncomfortable for my young adult son to visit with me there ;( .more his issue than ours) just a heads up if this might be embarrassing for family members.

  • I use airbnb frequently, and Elizabeth has been one of my favorite hosts of all times. She was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the house is absolutely fantastic. The room was perfect: comfortable, spacious, and with a great view! I absolutely recommend staying here, will be booking again and recommending to friends who visit SF!!

  • I couldn't have found a more perfect home base during my stay in San Francisco.
I got a comfortable and cozy room, met wonderful hosts, enjoyed a beautiful view over the roofs of Richmond each morning, had coffee in the most amazing living room.
I spent a peaceful and relaxed time there, which helped me in preparing for the conference I was attending (and the fast wifi connection was also appreciated). Highly recommended!

  • Elizabeth is a truly wonderful host. Her home is beautiful. My friend and I visited for a few days and it was our first time to the city. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home is gorgeous, clean, and welcoming in a lovely neighborhood. The bedroom is truly peaceful and actually one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in while traveling! I couldn't possibly recommend this place any higher!! I hope to return here any time I visit the city.

  • Elizabeth was a wonderful host. She received us with several maps and information for potential plans, as well as with some delicious chocolates. We had a great time in the Palace of Soul and in San Francisco. The patio has a great view of the City, perfect for an early breakfast!
I recommend the Palace of Soul and Elizabeth as a host.

  • What can I say when the name says it all,
"Palace of the Soul Peaceful Retreat".
Our stay here at Elizabeth's Soul Palace truly was an unforgettable experience that began with a warm reception at her doorstep awaiting our arrival. Her home is like a gallery with her many interesting art works displayed at every turn.
She along with her partner Fred were always there to help us with any questions we had such as their favourite restaurants, grocery stores and points of interest not to be missed while visiting this great city.
We will definitely be contacting Elizabeth on our next visit.

  • Me and my wife had a wonderful stay at Elizabeth's home. Elizabeth is a very welcoming host and gave us a lot of tips about the city and the neighborhoods. The place is really beautiful, comfortable and clean - the garden where you can hang and watch the sunset is a plus.

  • My husband & I stayed with Elizabeth mid September, this was our 1st experience with airbnb, it was fantastic! Elizabeth's house is amazing, lots of bling, beautiful garden (which is unusual in SF) with a stunning view from the rear of the home, convenient for sightseeing, $20 taxi ride to Fishermans Warf or buses are easy to get around too. Elizabeth is a talented Artist with beautiful Art on display but it was her warmth, hospitality & friendliness that made our stay extra special! Fast Freddie & her gorgeous daughter were welcoming & fun, too! We defiantly recommend a stay at the Palace of Soul.

I am a visionary artist and teacher. I live in San Francisco at the gorgeous Palace of the Soul where I love to welcome my tribe of Cosmic Cowgirls as well as mystic adventurers from other lands!!! I have been a traveler all my life from the time I was 6 months old and so as my three beautiful children begin to fly the nest for their own adventures, it is a great pleasure to open my very unique home to other fellow adventurers. I adore people....all kinds and all ages and as a host I will welcome you and I am willing to be your guide to this wonderful city or let you discover it for yourself. I do my best to be sensitive to what it is that you want from your stay and to provide you with a warm, welcoming and peaceful sanctuary from where you can explore this incredible city. I work at home as an artist and so have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be available for check ins and visiting with my guests if they like to visit. I live with my sweetheart, Fast Freddy Sims who is a very talented blues musician, songwriter, artist and landscape designer. My youngest daughter (17) still lives at home and my older two children come and go (22 and 19). I would describe our household as a loving, kind family who are very passionate and dedicated to self-expression and the arts. I have lived in Italy, England, Brazil, and Mexico and traveled to Greece, Scotland, Peru,Germany, Holland, Portugal, Spain, the Seychelles, many islands in the Caribbean, France and there are probably countries that I am forgetting. My style of traveling has changed throughout the years and so I believe that I understand and am open to travelers of all types. My art depicts a spiritual journey, the telling of a story that contactsthe viewer at the level of the soul. My art inspires others to look more deeply at the work and at themselves as they view layers and layers of prayer, hope, paradox and spirit woven together between particles of paint, bead, rhinestone, shell, bone and glitter. As a teacher, I encourage my students to explore materials that animate their sense of wonder, joy and play. By playing with the sparkle of jewels, beads & glitter the divine sparkle of imagination that lives within each of us is awakened and we gain access to our own healing and personal transformation. Creating in this way leads us to the understanding of how the sacred exists in matter in our physical world and this wisdom integrates our spiritual, emotional and physical selves. I call it "Glitteracy"!!!!!! I believe that we all have a story to tell, a song to sing, a painting to paint, an important gift to share with the world and my life has and is dedicated to "opening the Door of Possibilities" so that I, my family, friends, loved ones and global community can discover what their's is. I believe that the greatest gift of my life is the presence of other people in it and your presence in my home is a gift that I am grateful for.
