My experience with the flat, where I stayed for five days, was great without reservations. I met Michelle on the first day, she was very friendly and kindly provided some food and drinks for the first evening and breakfast, which helped a lot, since it was raining terribly and I didn't want to go out again...
The flat itself is spacious, clean, well-heated and really quiet. The building is located close to various train stations (at least three within short walking distance, going to all main directions in Manhattan). Except for the rather uninviting sofa the flat is inviting and perfectly suited to either relax or get some work done; the bed was really comfortable, and I enjoyed having a bath tub! The area is worth exploring a little, but Manhattan is also easily and quickly reached.
I would definitely stay at Michelle's place again!
Michelle's apartment is very conveniently located, right near a subway stop going straight into Manhattan. Its large and comfortable with brand new appliances and fixtures. Michelle met me at the door and showed me around. I would highly recommend staying here.
Michelle's spacious abode was delightfully stocked with breakfast, cleaning solutions (laundry detergent, etc), and fully equip of convenient amenities. Michelle herself was easy to contact, responsive to our queries, and charming in person. We recommend her Airbnb to anyone!
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was definitely a positive one! I will probably echo a lot of the sentiments in the other reviews. Michelle was very accommodating to my check in time. The apartment looked just like it did in the pictures. The location was perfect because it was close to all the subway lines. I would stay here again the next time I visited New York. Thanks Michelle!
We enjoyed our stay at Michelle's house so much.Very comfy, close to subway A-line,Brooklyn's nicest area!We would definetly recommand this place.
We had a very nice stay at Michelle's apartment. The location was great for transportation into Manhattan and just a short walk to Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO which was perfect for our trip. Michelle was very nice and had the essentials stocked in the fridge for us when we arrived. It was a bright clean apartment. We would definitely stay there again.
Michelle's apartment is so great. It is just like the pictures, very clean and plenty of space. Myself and a friend stayed there while doing an internship in New York. Michelle provided an air mattress so that we could each have a bed and our own space even though it is only a one bedroom. She also left milk, eggs, cereal and fruit (among other things) in the refrigerator for us. That was so nice because we were so busy and both broke college students :) The location is so perfect, there are subway stops within a couple blocks in every direction and you can easily get anywhere in the city you might need to go. There are restaurants and shopping close as well. The building is very safe and in a good neighborhood, I never once was worried, even coming home very late at night. I would love to stay at Michelle's apartment again next time I am in the city. Thanks again Michelle!
Wonderful stay at Michelle's place. Nice, clean and roomy apartment with perfect views to enjoy the snow storm. We needed an extra bed and Michelle provided an air mattress for us. Had problems with heating which Michelle promptly followed up on and made sure we were ok and not cold. Well supplied kitchen, in-house laundry, nice amenities in building and easy access to public transport. Michelle is a super organised and thoughtful host and we had the perfect home away from home.
Michelle made my experience in the city so awesome. My sister and I got there in the afternoon and Michelle greeted us at the door. Upon our arrival, she gave us a tour of the place which look exactly like the pictures posted. It was clean and very quint. She has fruits and milk in the fridge for us but the best feature in the kitchen was the hot water dispenser!!!! During the winter you can't ask for more than having a hot tea whenever you want. The location was ideal for Brooklyn, one stop from the Barclay center, 2 stops away from lower Manhattan. There is train stations very close by - Metro Tech ( A,C and F). The Dekalb Ave station (B, Q, R). Very easy to get around and a great alternative to being in city center. There is a grocery store across the store and a few coffee shops across the street. I really felt like a New Yorker for 5 days :) Michelle even had a binder with a few restaurants recommendation
Michelle was very reliable, available to any questions and concerns but most of all she just wanted her guests to enjoy the place and make you feel like it's your own for the time being. I will definitely stay at Michelle's place again
Another terrific experience with Airbnb in Brooklyn. Michelle's apartment was perfect for us. There's a very nice market across one street and a gorgeous wine and spirits store just a short half block on the other side. In addition, it is conveniently close to the BQR subway stop and just a bit further the other direction to the ACF. This worked splendidly for us as we wanted to spend time both in Brooklyn and in Manhattan. The apartment is in a perfectly maintained modern high-rise building. It is immaculate and nicely furnished. We were so comfortable we could have stayed another week or two. Michelle also left us breakfast fixings in the fridge which was very kind. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks Michelle.
