Nice and roomy apartment, with a large living room, 2 bedrooms, little terrace, free WiFi, washing machine, TV, dishwasher, oven, freezer, bread toaster, kettle and baby cot.
Nearby Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio.
Located at less than 100 meters from Santo Spirito square, in the historical central quarter of Oltrarno, it isn’t farther than 400 meters from Palazzo Pitti and 400 from Ponte Vecchio. It is at about one kilometer from Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station.
In a very quiet street of a district rich of traditional workshops, antiques shops, historical buildings and typical restaurants, the flat is at the first floor, without lift, of a small building, built several centuries ago. Nearby there is also a bakery, a fruit & vegetables shop, a food shop and many bars.
It has old terracotta tiles floors and wooden beams ceilings, very thick walls keep temperature cool in summer and warm in winter.
An entrance corridor takes, on one side, to a large and luminous dining-room with sofa, television and tile kitchen and on the other, to the spacious bedroom, bright and quiet (by choice double bed, or twins bed) with a baby cot, a roomy wardrobe and a big bookcase.
From the dining-room you can get to the nice little balcony, facing to a back courtyard and gardens, and to the other bed room, with a single bed, wardrobe and a ladder that takes to a small mezzanine floor garret, where there is another single bed . As optional fifth bed a confortable air materas can be privided, by choice in the large bedroom, or in the dining-room. The bathroom has also Jacuzzi shower, bidet and hairdrier.
Iron and ironing board are provided.
Children are welcome: for them infant bed and baby cot!
Sorry, but pets are not allowed and smoking is forbidden inside.
Guests can enjoy the whole apartment and the facilities including washing machine, dishwasher, television and free navigate with internet WI FI.
Interaction with Guests
I meet my guests at their arrival for showing the apartment. I also take them for a short walk in the neighborhood to see where shops and restaurants are.
I’m a Florence official tourist guide, so I can guide you to discover the city, with its museums and churches, but in this case there will be an extra charge.
I can organize airport transfers and call for you taxis.
Santo Spirito is full of life, with real Florentine living and working here. Full of shops, workshops, cafes, restaurants and monuments.
Santo Spirito is very safe neighborhood.
The main square is always alive: the morning market and the night movida.
Very very close to the apartment is also Cappella Brancacci and walking couple of minutes, the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), the Pitti Palace with Palatina Gallery and Boboli Gardens (Palazzo Pitti, Galleria Palatina and Giardino di Boboli).
I’m expecting guests to have the house and all is inside in care, switching off all the lights when not inside.
In winter, don't leave windows open.
Please don’t leave dirty dishes and garbage.
If you can’t avoid smoking, please do it in the balcony only.
Guests are also asked kindly to avoid noise at night.
We had a wonderful time at Firenze. Communication and oranisation with you was so uncomplicated and we felt very welcome.
The apartment was just great, typically Firenze and in a perfect neighbourhood for us.
The afternood we spent with you as our guide gave us a lot of impressions of Firenze we could not have had without someone who knows the town and its history so well as you do.
We just don't know for what else to wish for...

Michele is a great host, very flexible and happy to do everything he can to make your life easier. The apartment is a real jewel, with plenty of room and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need (including, among other things, iron, hair-drier, washing machine, tv set...). The neighbourhood, Santo Spirito, is very central and has a vibrant nightlife.
To sum up, Michele's flat is the best base you can think of to enjoy the magic of Florence!
We had a lovely stay at Michele's apartment. It's in a great location, a short walk to major attractions of Florence, and is in a quiet, not touristy neighborhood with lovely gourmet shops around the corner and lots of other charming neighborhood eateries.
Our kids got a kick out of the loft bedroom, and a small terrace added to the ambiance.
Michele gave us lots of useful information and acted as a tour guide (which he is) for us showing us sights we would have not accessed ourselves.
Michele is a charming, knowledgeable and obliging host. He went out of his way to help us and make sure that we had what we needed. I only wish that we had longer so that he could have guided us around the city. Santo Spirito is the ideal quarter as a base to explore Florence - an authentic local neighbourhood from where a visitor can walk everywhere. We loved our stay at the apartment with was just the right size for the four of us.
We loved staying here, the apartment was in a fantastic location and we were made to feel welcome. The apartment has lots of character and very homely, we enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony in the morning. This was our first time in Florence and we would definitely recommend staying here.
Michele's apartment was just as pictured and described. Very clean and everything in working order. The location was perfect as our daughter was studying at FSU in Florence and her housing was just blocks away. When we arrived Michele showed us around the apartment and gave us a useful tour of the neighborhood. He recommended a few restaurants that were wonderful. He also checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We did not need a tour guide during our visit, but from speaking to him we felt he would be a great guide. We were able to easily navigate the city from the apartment and travel by train to regional towns. It was wonderful to come back and relax after a busy day.
