Breakfast
This is one of a few places in the area that has this feature.
Spacious double bedroom with TV, tea & coffee, compact ensuite. (Extra person £38/night after 1 guest) Breakfast: cereal, toast, juice, fruit, tea and coffee. On busy street. Off street parking. A range of therapies on site. Near town centre, Abbey, Tor, Chalice Well, White Spring. On Carnival route.

The space
You will be staying in a spacious, historic Victorian villa built in 1899 (the first house to be built on this road). Our elegant house has had an interesting history.

Everyone who visits comments on the calm energy despite being on a busy road. Having a holistic therapy room in the house adds an aura of peacefulness (our Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Crystal Therapy and Crystal Reiki sessions are offered at special rates for current Airbnb guests). Other therapist sometimes work from our therapy room. Sessions can be booked directly with them. Details can be found in your room manual. However, our discounts do not apply.

We also offer the following rooms:

A cosy single bed & shared luxury bathroom from £48 per night including cereal breakfast: http://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/12152081

A spacious living room allowing for 1, 2, 3 or 4 guests to share the space over two double sofa beds from £58 per night including cereal breakfast (extra people £38/night after 1 guests): http://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/18184848

Guest access
As you arrive, you will have access to the stunning, Victorian, encaustic tiled vestibule and entry hall.

On your right you will be welcomed to our breakfast room with its ingle-nook fireplace and Victorian range adding historic charm.

Up the solid wood staircase you will be shown your large, double room with its Victorian fireplace, stripped wood floor, comfortable bed, ample storage space, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There are bottles of water available in the room to fill the kettle. You will find a compact but useful ensuite featuring a shower, toilet and hand basin. There are two grab rails in the shower for those guests needing a little extra support whilst showering.

In addition you are very welcome to stroll around our large rear garden. We have a distant view of Glastonbury Tor. There are two patio areas and a gazebo where you can enjoy some quiet time.

Other things to note
We do not charge a cleaning fee.

There may, sometimes, be family or friends staying with us in other parts of the house.

Clients for Soman and Martin's treatments or workshop attendees may also be seen entering and leaving the house.

If you venture into the garden between March and October you may find our tortoise on the lower patio immediately outside the door. He is at least 100 years old but can move quite fast so watch your step. He may approach you. Don't put your fingers anywhere near his mouth because he will assume you have food for him and may accidentally bite you.

Street Road is a long, straight road linking Glastonbury to the nearby town called Street. There are only a few, residential houses on Street Road nestled close enough to the town for easy access but far enough for there not to be too many visitors and tourists.

The residential properties on Street Road are occupied by quiet living people. Our immediate neighbours are families with lovely children.

Just two minutes walk away is a Morrisons supermarket with a cafe, large car park, cash machines and petrol station. There is a hand car wash at the top of the road.

Martin & Soman welcome you to Wyrral House, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Glastonbury. We are a friendly gay couple who live in this magical town. We are very knowledgeable about the history and spirituality of this place, so just ask!! Soman is a qualified holistic therapist offering Reiki and Indian Head Massage. Martin is a qualified Crystal Therapist. We offer special therapy rates for our current Airbnb guests. Martin is a published historical fiction writer. He writes about significant, gay figures through history. Soman is happy to carry your luggage to the room. Following a stroke, Martin has several non-visible disabilities including balance issues. So he would be unable to do this when Soman is not at home. We look forward to meeting, sharing parts of our beautiful home and sacred Glastonbury with you.
