Apartment - Entire home/apt · Calle Caballeros, Jerez, Andalusia 11403, Spain

The Space

I'd love to welcome you to this eclectic Apartment in the centre of Jerez, in a perfect location for sightseeing or enjoying Jerez's lifestyle.
All the balconies of the apartment deliver beautiful views.
Located next to San Miguel's church in old City of Jerez, our apartment is only 1 minutes' walk from many of Jerez's famous landmarks including the Alcázar, Cathedral, Plaza del Arenal, Tio Pepe Winery, and City Hall to name a few.
The historic Palace where the apartment is located was originally built in the 17th century as a convent, and later re-converted into a private residence for the Count of Peraleja (he'd got 14 Children, so he needed a big space...) The Palace is now a listed building and classified as "Heritage of Cultural Interest". In 1990 it was comprehensively restored and converted into apartments, respecting the original features like marble stairs, wide corridors, columns and arches.
This apartment has managed to retain its intimacy and the individuality of a private home and provides a beautiful authentic place in Jerez's vibrant centre.

The San Miguel neighbourhood is famous as one of the places where Flamenco was born, but also for the large number of palaces in one single street. The name of the street is "Caballeros" which means knights or gentlemen, due to the several noble men who lived in this particular area.

The Apartment:
- No cleaning fee!
- Double bed, (linen provided)
- Bathroom with shower (towels provided)
- Kitchen with all amenities (toaster, coffee machine, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, juicer, hob, china & cutlery).
- Massive Roof Terrace with panoramic views.
- Spacious living room with beautiful views. Television and Stereo CD player (We provide a selection of CDs for you to use).
- The apartment is very sunny, and therefore we have air conditioning in case it gets too hot in Summer. It also works for winter in case it gets chilly.
- We have a Concierge called Juan who is always on hand if you need him, please feel free to say "hola" to him!.
- We can provide parking space under the building for just 20 Euros per stay. (Much safer and comfortable than pay & display).

The Area:
- Plenty of sherry bars, restaurants and shops; everything less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
- There are 2 Taxi stations less than 5 minutes walk (one in Plaza de las Angustias and one in Plaza Esteve). Train and Bus Stations are around 15 min walk.

  • ¡Estancia estupenda!

Very nice stay and great flat, extra clean, big and bright. Ideal location in the historic center. The palace is very quiet -one detail : people who need absolute silence while they sleep could be annoyed by the noise of the cars on the old cobblestones. Miguel Angel welcomed us very warmly, anticipated all the questions we had, and leaving the flat&keys was very convenient. The flat is perfectly equipped, especially with nice huge towels :) Thank you very much for this good deal, I recommend it.

  • My experience in Jerez was exceptional due to my staying at this charming & spacious apartment. Every detail was treated with care and no hotel could have provided the same ambience along with total comfort and functionality. Everything from WIFI to hot shower and heater for chilly nights works perfectly. The apartment looks out onto the church tower of San Miguel and you can see it from the windows and small balconies from the living room, kitchen and bedroom! Lovely and magical at night and during the day you wake up to knowing you are in Andalucia. Jose is yet another reason to stay here! So attentive and helpful, he even gave me a tour on my first day and helped me locate my classes! His friend Miguel gave me a lift to and from the airport. And Juan, the portero, greeted me each day with a smile and made me feel looked after as well. Not enough room here to note everything, but one could not do better then to stay at 33 Caballeros! Thank you Jose-- I will never forget this experience! - Pamela

  • We stayed for the weekend at the end of October, and had a great time. Booking and communication with Jose beforehand were perfect - prompt, helpful and he went out of his way to give us details of Sherry tours, what to do in Cadiz etc. Migel gave us a lift both from and back to the airport, a really kind and helpful touch. The appartment is lovely, newly decorated, very well equipped and an ideal base for exploring Jerez, being just a short distance from Arenal. All in all, about as good as an apartment say gets! Thank you Jose and Migel.

  • The apartment is well equipped and full of charming details. It possible to feel a really relaxing and cozy atmosphere. It is located in the heart of Jerez, in a restored historical palace. We really appreciated the opportunity to park our car in the basement garage and enjoy Jerez, Cadiz and El Puerto using public transportation (the railway station is about 10-15 minutes). Both Jose Manuel and Miguel were very friendly and kind, giving us precious information about things to visit and things to do. Really recommended!

My experience in the apartment was extraordinary.
It is a cozy, clean, decorated with exquisite taste, well equipped with every comfort, located in the center and close to almost everything but on a quiet street without noises that disturbed.

Rent the garage is a great advantage since there is almost no parking nearby, it is also very cheap.

Both Jose Manuel and Miguel are very friendly and attentive, there has been good communication with them.

Do not hesitate to rent this apartment if you go to Jerez.

  • The apartment was really beautiful with tasteful interiors and little balconys that looked over the wonderfully painted tiles of the steeple and charming rooftops. The palace building is very quiet and spacious and set in a little cobbled street that leads straight down to the big square which is lined up with buzzing cafes and restaurants (try Bar Juanito''s artichokes - they are the best!). It's lovely how even late at night the streets of Jerez are buzzing with families and friendly noise - the whole place feels very safe and warm. The flat is in the old part of the town centre and about a 10 minutes walk from the grand old train station from which we took day trips to the beach at Cortadura, to the city of Cadiz and of course to Seville. It's a great town to stay in as its proximity to the mountains, cities and coastline is so close and easily accesable - even without a car. We also tried out the bus service down to Tarifa, Barbate and Los Canos de Meca - what gems! Also, the airport is a 15 euro trip by taxi.
I really can't recommend this apartment enough - we had a great time and Jose and Miguel were the perfect hosts (with a lift back to the airport from Miguel - thanks!).
We are really looking forward to planning a return trip - Would love to see the place during Semana Santa or i can imagine it's very fairytale-ish there in winter too...
If i could give more than five stars i would!

  • Jose's place is a truly charming place in the center of Jerez, located in a lovely historic building. The apartment is fully equipped and stylishly decorated. We were very happy to be able to park our car in the basement garage. Jose was always quick to respond any of our questions. Miguel, who received us, was very friendly and gave some great advice about nearby beaches. All in all a great experience, without a doubt our best Airbnb stay so far! We'd definitively come back here.

  • It is a very good and nice apartment directly in the old city of Jerez. Five stars!! The contact with Jose and his friend Miguel was very easy and friendly. If we will be back in Jerez sometime, we hope to stay in this apartment again. The possibility to use a parking space in the very near of the apartment gives Jose more than 5 stars.
