Mark is a great host. Really kind, friendly and relaxed. Everything worked perfectly out. The Appartement is exactly as described and we really enjoyed the stay.
Subway is 3 mins away and brings you to the central places in Manhattan.
We felt safe in the area and liked the neighborhood.
Absolutely can recomend a stay here.
Mark's house was lovely. Contact prior to our arrival was easy, we knew what we wanted to do in New York and Mark answered any questions we had straight away. On our arrival Mark's wife was there to welcome us. She showed us around, the house is pretty straightforward so we didn't need much explanation. The firdge was stocked and there was fresh coffee so that was a nice surprise. The house itself is lovely. We were looking for a place where we could sit down during the evening to relax and comfy bed and bathroom and that was all perfect, during the day we were mostly in the city. The location is perfect as well, real close to the subway so that's great. The house itself is located in a quite nieghbourhood, whilest we were there it was pretty cold and snowy so rather calm outside but I can imagine it gets pretty lively outside when it's spring and summer. All in all the apartment was great for us and we would surely stay there again.
Mark is really helpfull. Before our trip he answered all our questions. He made sure we could get the key and there was coffee, a snack en fresh towels. He ordered some food for us one evening and is just really kind.
The apartment is only a 2 minute walk from the subwaystation, you can reach Manhattan really quick with the A train. The neighboorhood is lovely, beautiful brownstones. Parlor Floor is not the most beautiful house on the block (or the most beautiful view), but who cares. It felt really safe, and it is a really quiet neighboorhood. We only used the subway, because it was so easy.
The apartment is spacious. There is a normal bed and a really comfortable sofa bed. I slept on the sofa bed for a week and it was the best sofa bed ever. My friend slept in the real bed, and in that way we both had our little room. There is a nice kitchen where you can make your breakfast, good (clean) fridge. You can even prepare your own meals.
The sheets and towels felt like new. Really clean. The kitchen was really clean. I did clean the toilet but that's just because I am a littly picky and felt that it wasn't 'hotelclean'. The same for the shower, there was a lot of stuff in there (shower cream, razor) and I am not used to that (first airbnb experience). But my friend didn't care, so it's just personal.
Because the house is old, and the walls are thin, it can be a little noisy during the evening (not from the street, but just talking, laughing from down stairs). We were tired and went to bed early every night, so if you are a light sleeper, bring some earplugs. Again, this only bothered me, not my friend. I would stay here again, for sure. Really good place to 'live' for a week in NYC. Don't forget to visit Daddy Green, on the corner. Lovely food, great people and good coffee! Thanks Mark for everything!!!!
This listing was completely accurate - everything was exactly as described and as shown in the photos. Mark was kind and welcoming and made us feel at home right away with some excellent suggestions on places to dine and fresh croissants waiting in the kitchen! The suite was clean and bright and the shower was great. The suite is very close to the subway station which had frequent express service to Manhattan. In the area, we particularly enjoyed a great pizza dinner at Saraghina and having donuts and coffee at Manny's. There are a couple of small bodega-type stores within a block or two. Thanks for hosting us, Mark!
Mark has been a great host, we had good communinication prior to our arrival. He gave us usefull advise how to find his place, which helped a lot and he waited for us, when we arrived. The place itself is great, everything as described, equipped with everything you need and in a quiet neighborhood. It is very easy to go to Manhattan from there. For our next trip to NYC we already know, where to stay.
Mark, thank you very much for your great hospitality.

Mark was really nice, and took the time to show us around the apartment. Very accurate descriptions & pictures.
Mark was an awesome host. Super accomodating and friendly. The unit was well maintained and equipped with everything you would need. We had our young kids (2 and 4) with us and I imagine there may have been a few times where things got noisy but Mark never mentioned anything (lives downstairs) - that's how great a guy he is. I would definitely recommend staying with Mark to have a great NYC experience.
