Sunny second floor bedroom with double bed and shared full bathroom just down the hall. Bathroom is shared with us and includes hairdryer, basic toiletries and plenty of towels. The bedroom also has a dresser and closet for longer stay guests. The room has two large windows facing a secondary street.
Our home is a three bedroom rowhouse in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. The location is a short walk to Northern Liberties & Fishtown restaurants and shopping.
Public transportation (subway/el) is approximately 10 minutes' walk and bus service to/from center city is at the end of the block. Street parking is relatively easy to find on nearby streets.
Guests have use of wifi, laundry, large kitchen, living room with basic cable, dvd & netflix and backyard patio and garden. We share our home with two small - medium, well-behaved dogs.
We work full-time so would ask for flexibility on check-in. Our preference is to meet guests at the house when possible, but are somewhat tied to work schedules. We have a 6p check-in on the listing, but are happy to work with guests' schedules as best we can.

Kim and Frank were delightful hosts. They were helpful and friendly, connecting well over logistics, with great suggestions for getting around town and for things to see and do in the neighborhood, and engaging in interesting and lively conversation. Their home and space are clean and comfortable. I'd stay with them again.
We had a fantastic stay in the Sunny Room, true to its namesake it receives plenty of sunlight in the morning. Kim was a great host, would recommend this room and stay here in the future.
Small room, but clean, comfortable and quiet. Very convenient bathroom all to myself, just a few steps away. The location was great, just around the corner from my macrobiotic workshop.
Kim and Frank were wonderful hosts for my wife and me. This was our first AirBnB experience and we can only hope that future experiences are as pleasant and smooth.
Thanks, Kim and Frank!
We enjoyed the cleanliness and lovely art in the room very much. Kim was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Plan to stay there again as we have an ongoing class in the area.
We had a lovely stay at Kim and Franks place! The space was very clean and beautiful. The two dogs are adorable and so friendly. The neighborhood is convenient and up and coming, it's been called the hipster vile of Philly. Although our time with Kim and Frank wasn't extensive due to opposite schedules, I highly recommend staying in the sunny room in northern liberties!
The house was located towards the north, but provided a nice walk towards the main philadelphia attractions. The two dogs are very adorable and Kim is a really nice and flexible host. The room was comfortable and nice and made our stay in Philadelphia a truly memorable one!
Kim and Frank were great hosts for our Philadelphia trip, and their cute dogs kept us all safe and smiling with their silly antics. We were in town for a convention and they made us feel like long lost relatives visiting from far away. They gave us a nice map of the city, great recommendations for restaurants, and perfect directions for our travels in their neighborhood. Their house was clean and comfortable from the front step to their cozy back yard. I hope all Airbnb hosts are as nice and as personable as Kim and Frank were to us. The experience with Airbnb has been a positive one and I don't think that I will ever stay in a hotel again.
Thanks again to Kim and Frank, and Airbnb for making it all possible!!!

I had a GREAT stay in the Sunny Room in Philly! I was running the Philadelphia Marathon and I needed somewhere to stay the night before the race. Kim and Frank had forgotten that they had a wedding that weekend so they weren't going to be there, but Kim left me a key, a note, plenty of water and some snacks! The bed was cozy and comfortable and the two dogs, Sake and Bean, were extremely friendly and comforting. The dogs bark a little at first, but they are the sweetest dogs I have ever met and I watched a movie with Bean in my lap that night! Kim provided me with the number to a taxi company and my ride to the start line at the Philly Art Museum was only about 5 minutes long. They even let me leave my belongings in the room all day while I ran and toured the city. The house was very clean, in a safe area, and close to downtown. Though I never actually met Kim and Frank, they set me up for a great stay and if I ever go back to Philly that's the only place I'll stay!
Kim and Frank's place was great--perfectly located for exploring both the Independence historical stuff and the truly awesome neighborhood of Northern Liberties. It was also the closest experience to a traditional B and B we've had yet--complete with little chocolates and water bottles. Very homey, very comfortable room, and a good deal for the price. Very glad we stayed here for our weekend in Philly.
