Located in the heart of the canals, more alive and creative in the district, 15 minutes walk from Piazza del Duomo and less than a minute from the metro (stop Porta Genova, green line) with each type of service in the immediate vicinity (means of surface, biking Shering, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, shops, showrooms, workshops, art galleries, cinemas, theaters, etc..), the apartment on the second floor of a typical old style building consists of a beautiful London and a large kitchen with adjoining dining area \ dinner, bathroom and two bedrooms, one of which can be used as an additional common area, any stay, so offers accommodation for two to a maximum of six people in three comfortable double beds (two sofa \ read \ futon). Great place in milano especially Naviglio.
Appartement bien situe, quartier sympa.
The stay spent at Ivan's place was very pleasant. The apartment is cozy and situated in one of the youngest and lively area in Milan. Well served by public transport such as, Porta Genova tube stop nearby, and several trams heading to Duomo. If I will return to Milan I would not hesitate to book again this lovely apartment.
We stayed at Ivan's place for four days as a group of six and enjoyed our stay. The big plus of the apartment is its location: Close to subway, tram, a supermarket and the lovely Navigli area. The flat itself is cosy and tastefully furbished. The only downside is the bathroom which was kinda moldy.
Because this was my first visit to Europe in 40 years, and I don't speak Italian, I was careful to choose a place which listed the host as an English speaker. I was very disappointed in the reception I received: an unfriendly woman who was standing in for the owner, and tho she spoke several languages ~ she did not speak English. Luckily my daughter (who does speak Italian) was available to speak with her to get directions to the apartment and meet her to get the keys. This woman spoke crossly with my daughter on the phone and then again when we arrived at the apartment. My younger daughter and I had just flown for 15 hours through multiple time zones, figured out how to catch a train from Malpensa into Milan, reunited my older daughter whom I hadn't seen in 11 months, hauled our luggage on and off the metro, found the apartment, and this woman was mad at us because we didn't meet her at the time she thought we should have shown up! It wasn't a great beginning to the trip. The apartment was pretty much what the photos showed ~ though it was a lot darker than what the bright, airy pictures portray. There was a pump that ran in the bathroom whenever the water was turned on or the toilet was flushed ~ the pump was loud and a bit disconcerting at first (it would have been nice if she'd mentioned it), but I figured, oh well, it's an old building, so the plumbing is too. However, the shower did not drain properly, so one had to watch to make sure the shower pan did not overflow, and that just did not seem right. We did not use the kitchen, because I could not get the stove top lit (and I am pretty experienced with old funky gas stoves!) Again, some instruction would have been helpful. The apartment was indeed very close to a metro station and if we'd been staying longer I am sure I would have appreciated the location, but it was silly of me to assume we would have time to appreciate and explore Milan from the vantage point of this apartment. This was just a stopover to recuperate from our flight, meet up with my daughter, and then we were off to visit Firenze. I should have chosen something quieter and easier to operate.
nice flat, well located, no problems. Maria Elena was nice & helpful.
The flat is located in Milano's liveliest area, and is well connected to the city center and the airports.
Ideal for four people, a bit crowded for more.
Didn't get to meet Ivan, but check in and check out were easy.
