The best thing about this place is its location. 21st and Chestnut is ideal. Everything else about it was disappointing. I emailed Stephen three times with questions about the place and key pick-up with no response. Finally, on the day of our stay, I got his number and sent him a text. He responded that the keys would be waiting at the desk when we arrived. No keys were left at the desk, and the receptionist had to call him to find out where they were. They were in the unit, which was NOT the unit that I had paid for. The one I paid for looked lovely and was on the 15th floor with painted walls. The unit I actually got was on the 6th floor with everything painted white to cover how dirty and uncared for the place was. Even the shower drain was painted white. The white paint didn't help the hair that was left in the shower and on the sink, though. Water stains showed through the paint on the walls, there were no curtains and the blinds were bent and yellow. The WORST part about this place was the steam heater. The noises that came out of it sounded like a dying cat and metal being rubbed together. It woke me up every night.
The bed was comfortable though. And it was nice to walk outside and not have to take a cab or a bus to get to where you wanted to go.
Overall aura of the place was very weird and off putting. I was told by the host that someone more important than myself would be coming after me, so I received instructions not to break anything and or tell anyone of my stay here- An annoyance, and overall very weird vibe.
Great service, great apartment in a great location.
Very clean when I arrived.
Stephen called me before and during the trip to make sure everything was fine.
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
