Take in the sights, sounds and tastes of nature on our permaculture farm. The remodeled farmhouse with its high ceilings and open-air concept eliminates the need for air conditioning in the mountainous climate of Alto de Monterrey. Take a dip in our custom pool or enjoy a drink or meal poolside in our covered bar or rancho. Drink your coffee in peace with volcano views while watching the birds work, while being just 15 minutes from La Fortuna.

Other things to note
We are on property should you need anything.
Included with your stay is a tour of our farm, where you can learn about all the animals, plants and fruits we are growing. You will get to try any ripe fruit, try fresh coconut water, and juice sugarcane. This is optional but is a $20/person value, included in your stay.

Where you’ll be

Monterrey, Alajuela Province, Costa Rica

We are located on 12.5 acres of farmland which we are converting to a food forest. The neighbors are farmers and their floppy eared cows. See abundant wildlife including various types of toucans, hummingbirds, green parrots, macaw, sloths, and coati. Feed our goats, horses and chickens while picking a fruity breakfast from the 800 fruit trees we've been planting since 2020. We are a short 15 minute drive to La Fortuna down scenic back roads. We have excellent local restaurants and a small local grocery store just minutes away.

After 20 years of working in the medical technology field, I now spend my days working around the farm to make it an oasis for travelers, flora and fauna. Come check out what I’ve got growing.
