About this listing
Artist's home with beautiful (though slightly wild) green space and garden. Centrally located and close to the Exchange District, Health Sciences Centre, the University of Winnipeg, Wolseley, Sherbrook Street and Polo Park. Numerous great restaurants and cafes near by, and a grocery store right across the street.
If you appreciate an eclectic, vintage feel and attention to little details, a claw foot tub (and shower), fresh veggies and herbs from the garden (June-September), plenty of good books and records, then you will feel most welcome here. This is a feminist, queer friendly space and does not discriminate against gender, class, culture, age, ability or lifestyle. Unfortunately, we are not wheelchair accessible. There's no big screen TV or manicured lawn here!
Help yourself to the washer, dryer, great deck and outdoor space, organic fair trade coffee and tea. Can get access to a bicycle if desired.
Interaction with guests
I'm in and out often, but always only a text msg away. Make yourself at home!
This is a mixed-income neighbourhood, with culturally diverse restaurants, shops and bakeries in abundance, and community gardens on every second street.
Everything essential is a short walk or bike ride away, including the University of Winnipeg, Health Sciences Centre, the Exchange District, Wolseley and Sherbrook Street. The bus stops outside my front door heading downtown, to the Health Sciences Centre or an express route to Corydon Avenue and the University of Manitoba.
The use of oppressive language/behaviour (whether it is ableist, racist, queerphobic, classist, cissexist, misogynistic, sexist, transphobic, and so on) will not be tolerated.
Clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom.
Be kind to the cat.
