Inside you'll find a pillow top queen-size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets in your bedroom, a full size futon in the living room, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, a tiled bathroom with shower, wi-fi, washer/dryer on the premises. This is good for Netflix streaming, iTunes and anything else on your computer.

There is not a full size stove but we do have two burner stovetop and pots/pans. Also microwave, electric skillet, water hot pot, coffee maker, toaster, and crock pot....plenty of ways to cook!
KID FRIENDLY, in apartment closet you will find pack-n-play, high chair, stroller, dishes, and toys.
Please read house rules before you book...thanks!
I have listed check in/out times but can usually be flexible depending on what we are doing and if anyone else is checking in/out, just ask!
You will have your own private entrance and key. Plenty of free on street parking. And feel free to relax in the large grassy side yard after your day!

Our family does live upstairs so if you are looking for something absolutely quiet this might not be a good fit. Depending on when you book we may or may not be in town.
I work to keep all the babies items listed (high-chair, stroller, pack-n-play) in good working order. But they are an extra perk and not guaranteed as part of the rental.
This is a nice apartment, with very comfortable beds and plenty of space. The host's family were very nice to us. There were the expected regular noises of people moving around upstairs, and pinging sounds from some exposed pipes, but nothing extreme.
Clean and comfortable! This was as great and easy a rental as others have indicated. Malia was super helpful and pointed us in the direction of great local eats. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We had a marvelous time in Portland and being able to stay with Malia and family was a huge part of that. The apartment was very clean but didn't leave us with the impersonal feeling that staying in a hotel would have left us with. We arrived much later than we had expected but Malia was very gracious and accomodating. She and her two charming sons showed us the apartment, gave us restaurant suggestions, and left us to our own devices. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely look up Malia the next time I go to Portland!
Malia was a great host and greeted us when we arrived at her listing. We arrived a little late in the evening but she was so welcoming and helpful by providing us with her recommendations. My boyfriend and I have never been to Portland so we definitely took her recommendations to heart. The basement apartment was conveniently located close to downtown and many landmark eateries such as Blue Star Donuts, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and PokPok.
The living space was perfect for us as we were looking for an inexpensive and comfortable place to stay. There were many amenities provided in the bathroom for us to use and a full kitchen which was awesome. Although there was footsteps heard in early hours of the morning, we would definitely come back and stay again!
Malia & Jason were friendly and welcoming hosts. The space was clean, cozy, well-appointed, and private. Had a great time.
This was the perfect place for us. Plenty of space and light. Just what we needed for the week! Close to busses to get downtown for work and walking distance to the park for our son. Malia and her family were really great. Easy to talk to and so sweet. Little feet are heard upstairs, but little feet get tired and go to bed so it's no biggie ;). I'd stay here again or recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Portland. Malia keeps most things you might need stocked and it made our week so much easier. We just did some grocery shopping day 1 and were set for the week. Thank you!
