It was a real pleasure to stay at Enrico's home "terra e pane".
He and Junko made me a warm and heartful welcome with tea and homemade Crostata. They invited me to visit a festival in Collazone and shared parts of their private live with me, made feel at home. We had a lot to talk about, I found new friends with similiar intrests.
Grazie, for being my hosts, I hope to see you again =)
Enrico received us in the company of his wife Junko very kindly. We talked about our trip and even turned out we had friends in common. We all went to dinner together even with his daughter Bruna. It was a very pleasant family dinner.
His house is located in a splendid place full of trees and went together to pick fruit and vegetables from his garden.
Our room and bathroom was very well presented, very clean and spacious, we felt very comfortable.
My wife and I highly recommend the home of Enrico and Junko.
Enrico and Junko are extremely warm and welcoming - they instantly made us feel at home in their beautiful country house. They have a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area and very happily recommend outings, restaurant etc. to suit your needs/ holiday desires. We cannot recommend them enough; they went above and beyond anything we were expecting. The food they provided was delicious (most of it was home-grown and/or home-made), the house was always filled with amazing jazz music, and they always pointed us in the direction of delicious local wines and foods. They are genuine, good people and we will definitely be staying with them again in the future.
Enrico and Junko san were such great hosts during our stay! Enrico took us the dinner and cooked home made pasta which was very delicious!! Junko san took us on a tour of Todi and showed us so many beautiful places! The breakfast was very traditional which Junko prepared us every morning. their organic garden was so beautiful, the room was very clean the hosts were amazing. There is also very welcoming dog and cat to play with:)
Not only do I highly recommend this place but i want to come back and stay again.
Enrico and Junko treated us extremely well. They fed us delicious home made meals and made us feel incredibly welcome in their home and in the comfortable apartment. This apartment is conveniently located for Todi and Orvieto visits. We loved our visit here and highly recommend this apartment.
Heartwarming experience! Italy has always been about the food for me, but thanks to Enrico, my time in Umbria was so much about its wonderful people. The house is dreamy and beautiful, just like the photos, and since I was the only guest at the time, Enrico offered me the studio behind with my own private entrance, kitchenette and large bathroom. It might be worthwhile to pick that when you book anyway, if you want to have your own space. The main house is very artistic, with the music playing and the organic garden in front, and I could hang out there and use the fast Wifi.
I was a little skeptical about staying on the countryside without a car, but Enrico made it very easy. He picked me up at the train station (even after I missed my connection in Firenze and arrived late), and lent me his brother's son's bicycle for my stay. I cycled 15 km to Todi - a beautiful ride with 5 km uphill - and absolutely loved the town, though it was nice to ditch the tourists and come home in the evening! He invited me out with his friends and daughter many times, and I got an unexpectedly intimate peak into life in Umbria, for which I feel incredibly lucky and grateful.
Nearby the house, there's a coffee shop and small restos that you can cycle to for yummy paninis, as well as a supermarket if you prefer to cook. We didn't eat much at home and the stone oven was never fired up, but that's fine because his friends fired up one in their old traditional home for a lazy Sunday lunch. The breakfasts were typically Italian, with strawberry cakes, fresh fruits, homemade jams and incredible coffee.
I can't think of a better way to explore Umbria and would love to go back someday. Thank you Enrico for sharing a slice of your life with me and welcoming me so warmheartedly!
