My wife and I stayed for 5 months in Sylvie's apartment, from January 2nd to June 1st, an unusually long time for an airbnb guest. We were in Aix as educators accompanying American students for a semester abroad and we couldn’t have been happier in this very sunny place. What is particularly nice about this apartment is that it is a lived-in by-the-owner kind of place, unlike so many airbnbs these days which are just managed properties only meant for renting. Situated under the eaves, the place was spotless and well equipped. I bumped my head a few times because of the slanted ceiling but soon learned to bend down at the appropriate locations. Sylvie is a super host who not only responded quickly to various queries concerning the apartment but even went the extra mile to help us with various situations we had to deal with while in France. We highly recommend this place without any reservations.

Sylvie was an excellent host, very welcoming! She provided us with maps and information about Aix, as well as being available during our stay for questions. The flat is wonderful, just as shown and described. It is a beautiful place to stay in Aix. We fully recommend it and will be returning!

Four friends stayed 10 nights in centrally located apartment on the 3rd floor of the building in the Quartier Mazarin. Clean, bright, spacious, and comfortable place within 2 min walk to Cours Mirabeau and 5 min walk to Magnet parking. The apartment is nicely decorated; the kitchen is well equipped. Sylvie is a wonderful host and easy to communicate. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again.

Merci Sylvie! We loved the art in the apartment and the location is perfect. Your recommendations were very helpful. It was easy to communicate with you and if we come back to Aix we will be sure to check its availability. We ate several meals at the apartment and the kitchen is well stocked with necessities.

My husband and I, and our 23 year old son, enjoyed 5 nights in this wonderful light-filled apartment in a convenient, yet quiet part of lovely Aix. Our stay here couldn't have been better, and Sylvie was the best host imaginable. Her apartment is graced with lovely details that reveal her artist's sensibility. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable for the three of us. We settled right in with some nice stereo music (Dave Brubeck from her extensive jazz collection)... my son was overjoyed to find a piano in his bedroom that could also be played. Upon arrival, Sylvie met us with open arms, even insisting to help carry up our luggage! The air in the flat was scented with pure Provencal lavender oil to greet us, and chilled minted water (mint from her herb garden) was at hand to quench our thirst---what luxury! We truly felt at home here---the place was so nice, it was rather difficult to leave it to go out exploring. But Sylvie also had many helpful maps, brochures, and information about things to do in Aix (restaurants, museums, etc.) so we did motivate to explore the town and the area. We enjoyed the city (great markets, Granet museum, Cezanne's studio, etc.) and also found Aix to be a good central point from which to explore the many beautiful sites and villages in Provence. I can't say enough good things about this apartment, this city, or our host. If you have the opportunity to stay here, you simply must! We already long to return!

We recently stayed in Sylvie's light-filled flat and it was truly perfect for our first visit to Aix. Centrally located, it offered a convenient spot to walk to the Cours Mirabeau where cafes and shops abounded. It is at the top of a lovely building in the Place 4 Dolphins area so the feeling was one of being in a treehouse or, as she put it, "an ivory tower." She included little touches like a bottle of chilled local wine in the refrigerator, fresh flowers and even a little collection of art books and jazz CDs. Sylvie was easy to reach, very informative, responsive and so pleasant to talk with. I'd highly recommend staying at her place if your travels ever find you in the South of France.
