HEALTH AND SAFETY
At Serenity, we take the health and safety of our guests seriously. Firstly, although windows and beds have nets, please don't forget your anti-malarial measures. There is a well-stocked First Aid box for emergencies. The kitchen has a fire extinguisher and a fireblanket. We have surrounded the house by plants that are said to inhibit mosquitoes. If you notice anything that we have overlooked, please let us know about it - talk about it with Eddie.
We have stayed at Serenity House several times now. Serenity House is secure and located in a peaceful area. It provides a welcome retreat from faster-paced downtown Kampala. Special thanks to Eddie and Noor who have been excellent hosts as always. Serenity House shows off some of the best assets of Uganda, their welcoming people. Thanks Philly, Eddie and Noor for another great stay.
We stayed at Serenity House for a few weeks and were pleased with it. I have traveled to Uganda over 18 times from the US doing mission work and have stayed in many different guest houses/homes and hotels. Serenity House was the most spacious and the compound was nice, private and secure. The price was very good for all of the amenities offered.
The caretaker Eddie managed us very well and took care of anything we needed right away.
It was nice having a kitchen with a very good oven/stovetop, refrigerator and freezer and dishwasher. The master bedroom had tons of space and storage and the beds were comfortable.
We travel the road to Fort Portal fairly often and with where the house is located, we could take the back way without having to drive through town (Kampala) at all which was convenient for us in that respect. Traffic is a problem in Nansana at certain times of the day, but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
This was our 2nd visit to Serenity House. All was just as fabulous as the first time. Safe, clean, friendly hosts. Serenity House is our 1st choice when traveling in Kampala. Thank you Philly, Eddie and Noor for your wonderful hospitality.
I highly recommend the Serenity House in Kampala for your next stay. The home is well-equipped for the 5 in our group with a full kitchen tile floors in the main common areas and 2 bathrooms, one in the Master Bedroom. The home provides a nice break from the congestion of Kampala and is in a quite area with beautiful grounds. There is ample water and generator power available to counter the areas frequent power outages. The security was good and we did not have a concern about our safety. Philly was very pleasant to deal with and everything was exactly as advertised. By far one of the most enjoyable experiences about our stay was our interaction with Eddie and his family. The onsite caretaker ensured we were well taken care of and was instrumental in making us feel welcome. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would encourage others to consider Serenity House on their next visit to Kampala.
