Maureen met us at the door with a smile and wonderful hospitality. She knows the area and the city well. Her recommendations were spot on. The house was as described. It is a charming location in a great neighborhood with good access to the city. All the accommodations were clean and inviting. The bed was very comfortable. The parking was not a problem as she was very flexible regarding our schedule. Great experience!
From the moment I arrived until the moment I left Maureen was a wonderful host. She had the room ready for us as soon as we arrived, and she helped us coordinate the best way to get down town and additional events going on during our stay. Her home is beautiful, and she makes the stay fun and interesting. I could not have had a better experience.
Maureen is a fantastic host and her place is quite breathtaking. As a guest you get the entire third flood which has a private bathroom and plenty of reading material on anything Pittsburgh has to offer. The room was cozy and intimate which is perfect for the leg weary traveler. The street is quiet and well taken care of by the people on the block and the city.
As a small FYI, there is no overnight street parking and driveway dimensions are smaller than average along the whole block.
Our icing on the cake wasn't the delicious breakfast she made, or the well kept home, but how she went out of her way to take care of us the morning of our departure by taking us to a local attraction! That went above and beyond what a host needs to do and the "super host" term is an understatement for what Maureen brings to airbnb!
My husband and I stayed with Maureen for three days while we were visiting our daughter and seeing sights in Pittsburgh. Maureen greeted us warmly when we arrived, made us feel at home, and encouraged us to help ourselves to tea and treats in the kitchen. Each morning, she prepared breakfast-to-order for us and chatted with us about our plans for the day.
Maureen’s home is beautiful, and the suite is private, comfortable, quiet, and immaculate. The home is located in a lovely old neighborhood with fascinating houses and well-established trees and gardens. We drove into Pittsburgh each day, which took less than fifteen minutes. Public transportation is also available.
I love this lovely house and Maureen so much. She is absolutely an amazing person. I and my boyfriend arrived at her house very late last night but she is so nice to wait for us and prepared very thing for us. The room is very sweet and clean and the breakfast is delicious( the dining room is so cool). We chat with Maureen and we really enjoy our time in her house. Definitely choose her house next time when come to Pittsburgh or recommend to our friends.

About the Host, Maureen
I am an outgoing and optimistic individual. I have a masters degree in Oboe Performance from Rice University. I am no longer playing professionally but music still fills my soul and I frequent many of the performances of live music Pittsburgh has to offer, especially jazz and The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. I enjoy a good glass of wine while to listening to jazz and conversation at the local coffee shop.
I am from a large family and have 2 wonderful adult children.
After being a lifelong photo buff, I started my own business - Maureen Patrice Photography. My work is mainly people and events and i also carry a line of Pittsburgh and nature photo note cards and prints.
I have traveled a fair amount - Ireland, British Isles, Germany, Italy, Canada, Mexico, and throughout much of the United States. My favorite trip was my most recent to Tanzania were I went on Safari to Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. The trip was amazing, the people were wonderful, and I saw so many animals.
I love to cook and am happy to accommodate special dietary needs.
I try to live my life treating others as I would like to be treated. I am thrilled to be on airbnb and I look forward to meeting new people.
