Mini apartment in the city downtown, easy to reach from the airport and near all the most important turistic sites.
We rent a mini apartment in Rome, Marconi Zone, it consists in a room with a sofa bed for two people and another bed for one adult or two children, there are a kitchenette with refrigerator and a bathroom with shower, air conditioning and lcd tv. You can quickly reach the apartment from the Fiumicino airport of Leonardo da Vinci, it takes 20 minutes by train (8 euro for the ticket). Get off the train at Trastevere station and you are arrived. From the same station, with the same train, you can reach in just 2 stops the San Pietro Church and Castel Sant'Angelo, otherwise you can take a bus to reach, in a few minutes, all the most important sites of the city center (Trastevere, Largo Argentina, Piazza Navona, Pantheon , Piazza Venezia, Fontana di Trevi and Colosseo). Simply walking you'll reach the shopping street of viale Marconi, or the tipical market of Portaportese (every sunday morning) or the old quarter of Testaccio, which is also the hearth of Rome's night life, with a plenty of restaurants, pubs and discos.
This apartment was absolutely perfect! It was small, but had everything we needed and was still plenty big for the three of us. Monica and her husband were wonderful hosts and made sure that we knew how to get to and from the apartment. It is in a great location too -- we wish we could have stayed longer!
Staying at Monica's apartment had been wonderful. My friends and I were in Rome for 4 and a half days and we spent 4 nights in Monica's apartment. When we arrived Monica and her husband picked us up, they gave us useful tips and ideas what to see in Rome, as well as a list of good restaurants. The apartment was clean and looked better than in the pictures. It is very cozy and has everything a person could need: WiFi, a washer, a small kitchen, warm shower, air conditioning, TV etc. Monica even left us fruit and some treats if we were hungry. The location is great, the Trastevere train station is 5 minutes walking distance and buses going to the centre are 2 minutes away and are regular. There is also a night bus line that stops close to the apartment. Overall, I highly recommend staying at Monica if you are coming to Rome, it is a great apartment with everything you could need and is nicely located.
After much delay, my boyfriend and I stayed only one night, but I wish we had stayed longer! Monica is incredibly nice, considerate, and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed this apartment experience in particular.
My family enjoyed the stay at this apartment a lot! It was very cosy and clean. The apartment is equipped with everything you need like air conditioning, washing mashine, TV and etc. Monica and Simone prepared for us: clean towels, hairdryer, shampoons and delicious food for breakfast so we didn’t have to look for any shop straight after our journey. Our kids enjoyed sleeping on bunks bed above us. The location is also very good as you can get to the bus stop within 2 minutes walking distance and take bus no 780 to get to the city center: Piazza Venezia. You can also easily get to the center by tram no 8 and then if you take bus 64, 62 or 46 you arrive at Vatican within a few minutes so it’s really perfect starting point location to experience Rome. Bus H takes you directly to Termini Station where you can get to any airport by shuttle bus. Monica and Simone are very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend their apartment and stay there next time when we come back to Rome.
