The Space

Hi Beautiful Travelers!

Looking for a nice, simple place to stay and visit Austin or Round Rock? My husband and I have a couple of extra rooms (1 bedroom/shared bath) available in our house for $25 a night per room and $5 per additional guests. We started opening our home to travelers because we just love to meet new people, share our differences and hear fun, amazing tales.

At our home we can offer you a great washer and dryer, full kitchen, cozy media room, and cute little breakfast nook, all shared. The house has easy access to major hwys MOPAC, Toll 45, and HWY 35, 20 minute drive to downtown, quiet neighborhood, walking parks, hiking trails, and dog parks near by. Lots of parking on the street.

Pet policy: Dogs are very welcome. I have one of my own :) a little terrier mix. He is okay with other dogs, won't play, but will tolerate them. Anyways, i am sorry but i don't take puppies. Please two years old or older only and must be house trained and well behaved "in general". I don't want to turn anyone away, but i just like to keep the house nice so everyone can be happy.

Hope to hear from you soon!

  • This was an airbnb catch. Amaris was away but Mark was an awesome host. But just calling him a host isn't a complete picture. He's more like a guide to everything great about Austin and Roundrock. Gig venues, BBQ, tech companies Mark knows it all. That's before you even get to conversation about the UK, San Diego.

More like a home away from home complete with your own shelf in frig, laundry, plenty of parking and comfy bed, hot shower. I would forgo a place anywhere in Austin to stay/visit with Amaris and Mark.

  • The room and location were great for the price. And just like the description says it was a drama free experience. We were able to come and go as we pleased. Mark helped us get settled in and we met Amaris later. Although it rained for almost our entire stay we felt fine sleeping in on the futon. Parking was easily accessible at the house and we were even given cabinet and refrigerator space for food. We had the pleasure if meeting another guest and their dog mijo. Nice space with nice sized closet and minimal furniture. Thanks guys!

  • Amaris and Mark - what kind, gracious hosts! Definitely felt at home during my stay. Room was clean and homey and their house in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Getting in/out was easy with the entry system they set up.

  • I just needed a place to crash for the night and this was perfect. I could come late at night and enter the code on the keypad and let myself in. The room (east wing) had a bed, a side table, and a desk. It also had a closet which would be nice for longer stays. It's in a suburban neighborhood. I was traveling by myself as a female and felt very safe staying there. There was a shared bathroom, which was fine as there weren't many other people there. There were plenty of towels and bathroom things. She had a shelf in the fridge and in the cupboard which was marked for each room, so that was nice. Things that like made me feel like it was more of a hostel rather than staying in someone's guest room, and I mean that in a good way - it felt more professional and well thought out. I would definitely stay here again if I needed a place in Austin and at the price, it's hard to beat.

  • Best deal in Austin and a lovely stay! Amaris and Mark were gracious hosts, I really enjoyed talking with them. The room was neat and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and organized with a labelled area for my food both in the refrigerator and pantry. Easy parking on the street and a great location. I will stay here again.
