About this listing
We would like to welcome you to our gay friendly home in the heart of Stoke Newington, a safe, trendy and vibrant neighbourhood with a village like atmosphere, close to the centre of London.
The spacious and stylish double bedroom is located on the first floor of our home and offers a double bed, television with DVD player, hairdryer and international adaptor. The room is light and airy and we provide fresh bedding and towels. The shared bathroom has a bath, shower, loo and basin.
Our welcoming kitchen is open to you so that you can help yourself to breakfast including home made muesli, fresh fruit, juices, tea, coffee, local bread and jams. Leading from the kitchen is our amazing garden that you are welcome to relax in.
We have a good wifi connection in the house. If you need to do any laundry, please let us know.
At the end of our road is Church Street, the centre of Stoke Newington with cafes, restaurants, clubs, vintage shops and a large park with tennis courts. The local leisure centre and gym is a 10 minutes walk away.
We have many public transport links to central London. Always confusing in a new city but we will be pleased to help you find your way around:
•By bus the 73 takes you to King’s Cross station (30 mins) and Euston station and Oxford St.
•The 106 bus will take you to Finsbury Park (10 mins) which is a major transport hub – the tube lines are Piccadilly and Victoria and there is an overground line connecting Peterborough to Moorgate and Kings Cross. This is probably quicker but you don’t see as much!
•Overland train from Stoke Newington station to Liverpool St.
And if all this isn’t enough (!), one of the best bits of your stay will be meeting Lola and Scout, our 2 miniature long haired dachshunds
Check in is between 2pm and 10pm but you're welcome to come earlier and leave your bags.
We look forward to hearing from you soon
We provide breakfast in the kitchen but are generally unable to offer use of the kitchen in the evening
Interaction with Guests
We will generally be around at breakfast to help with any queries about your stay in London.
It takes 30 minutes to get into central London.
Other Things to Note
Check in is up to 10 in the evening.
We don't have many rules. We ask you to lock the door when you come in and take your shoes off. You are welcome to smoke outside in the garden and please close the bedroom window before you go out. Many thanks
My first host in air bnb are so perfect. They were really nice and gave me lots of useful information and guide for travel. Would recommend all friends have plans stay in London.
We had a wonderful stay in London thanks to Annie and Belinda's B&B. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean, tastefully decorated... with a great view on the garden. Annie and Belinda immediately made us feel at home. The indications they gave us were very clear. The breakfast was gorgeous (tea, coffee, fresh fruit, cereals, and homemade jams) and served in a lovely kitchen with direct access to the garden. The street is very quiet but walk down a few yards and you'll be in a lively neighbourhood with cafés and restaurants (try the Rasa restaurant and the Lazy Social café). There's also a couple of vintage shops around, an organic market on Saturdays, a organic grocery shop nearby and a trendy gay club and café (Dalston Superstore). The place is quite central. It takes only about 30 minutes to get to central London with a 24 hour bus service.
Annie and Belinda were very nice host. The bedroom is comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The house is well located, close from the city center. Thank you for the breakfast, especially for the homemade pancakes !
Annie and Belinda were great! They did everything they could to make staying there a real pleasure. The place had a very welcoming and open atmosphere, they served us breakfast every morning, offered helpful advice, and gave us a map to help us explore London. I would definitely stay here again.
My host was very welcoming, helped me to my room and had English tea and cake. She was also very informative and lent me a map of the city. The neighborhood is very safe, beautiful homes and central to restaurants, stores and parks. The train and bus station were also nearby.
It was veeeery good! Even though it was our first abroad travel, we were very comfortable and feel cozy. We were arrived late at night because of the airplane's delay, but annie greeted us kindly. Annie and belinda were so friendly! Breakfast was sooo delicious and there were a lot kinds of food. We felt like we gained lots of weights...but happy! It was little bit far from the tourist attractions, but not that unconvenient. The bathroom was sooo clean and cleaned every day. If i could come to england again, i would choose annie's house again!
Wonderful! The room is just as described, clean and neat and all. And the breakfast is fab - I was a little scared of the english white toast and bread being a rather wholefood kind of person, but the selection of muesli, fruit salad and Sunday's homemade buns was great. Annie and Belinda are wonderful hosts - I felt at home straightaway and that part was the most lovely of all. Apart from being on top of all of the communiation - they are very good at keeping in touch via sms and email and have an excellent way of explaining directions =) - they had an open-minded, curious and welcoming approach towards me. It included conversations over a glass of wine the first night we met, great hints as to how to spend the day and hints concerning the best running routes in the neighbourhood. Thank so much!

About the Host, Annie And Belinda
We love London life and London living. The diversity, the culture and opportunities of the city are second to none and we really look forward to sharing the city with our guests. We live in a wonderful area of London, so close to the centre yet with a village like feel to the neighbourhood. We enjoy travelling, sport, reading, drinking fine wine and our 2 miniature dachshunds, Lola and Scout, are very precious to us.
