About this listing
This is a lovely double room in a Victorian house in Stoke Newington. We have been welcoming guests for over 2 years and have over 230 great reviews. We love hosting for Airbnb and make very effort to make you welcome.
We would like to welcome you to our gay friendly home in the heart of Stoke Newington, a safe, trendy and vibrant neighbourhood with a village like atmosphere, close to the centre of London.
The spacious and stylish double bedroom is located on the first floor of our home and offers a double bed, television with DVD player, hairdryer and international adaptor. The room is light and airy and we provide fresh bedding and towels. The shared bathroom has a bath, shower, loo and basin.
Our welcoming kitchen is open to you so that you can help yourself to breakfast including home made muesli, fresh fruit, juices, tea, coffee, local bread and jams. Leading from the kitchen is our amazing garden that you are welcome to relax in.
We have a good wifi connection in the house. If you need to do any laundry, please let us know.
At the end of our road is Church Street, the centre of Stoke Newington with cafes, restaurants, clubs, vintage shops and a large park with tennis courts. The local leisure centre and gym is a 10 minutes walk away.
We have many public transport links to central London. Always confusing in a new city but we will be pleased to help you find your way around:
•By bus the 73 takes you to King's Cross station (30 mins) and Euston station and Oxford St.
•The 106 bus will take you to Finsbury Park (10 mins) which is a major transport hub – the tube lines are Piccadilly and Victoria and there is an overground line connecting Peterborough to Moorgate and Kings Cross. This is probably quicker but you don't see as much!
•Overland train from Stoke Newington station to Liverpool St.
And if all this isn't enough (!), one of the best bits of your stay will be meeting Lola and Scout, our 2 miniature long haired dachshunds
Check in is between 2pm and 10pm but you're welcome to come earlier and leave your bags.
We look forward to hearing from you soon
We provide breakfast in the kitchen but are generally unable to offer use of the kitchen in the evening
Interaction with Guests
We will generally be around at breakfast to help with any queries about your stay in London.
It takes 30 minutes to get into central London.
Other Things to Note
Check in is up to 10 in the evening.
We don't have many rules. We ask you to lock the door when you come in and take your shoes off. Smoking is one of the things we feel very strongly about but you are welcome to smoke outside in the garden and please close the bedroom window before you go out. Many thanks
We love London life and London living. The diversity, the culture and opportunities of the city are second to none and we really look forward to sharing the city with our guests. We live in a wonderful area of London, so close to the centre yet with a village like feel to the neighbourhood. We enjoy travelling, sport, reading, drinking fine wine and our 2 miniature dachshunds, Lola and Scout, are very precious to us.
