Although it is an old house built 90 years ago, it is fully equipped with an open-air bath, mini-kitchen, popular BALMUDA appliances, and floor heating for a comfortable stay. Please have a quiet and enriching time in the Gokeshokindo district, which has been designated as a preservation district for groups of traditional buildings.

Other things to note
We would like to inform you of the following to make your stay more comfortable. Please note the following before you book.

●Introduction
This facility is a renovated 90-year-old Omi merchant house. The building has been designed to retain as much of the old house's charm as possible, so it may not be as insulated or soundproof as a modern building. Please understand in advance.

The structure of the building makes it easy for sound to resonate. Please be considerate of keeping windows and doors closed, and of keeping noise down at night.

Please do not significantly change the current situation, such as moving the equipment in the room without permission. Removing equipment and installed equipment is prohibited.
In the unlikely event that damage or loss is confirmed, we may ask the guest to bear the cost.

The roads around the building are narrow alleys, and because it is a traditional landscape conservation district, they are not paved with asphalt. If you have a suitcase with casters, please contact us in advance. Our staff will help you carry it if needed.

● Reservations for guests with children

・ Adults: 12 years old and over
Children: 2-12 years old
Infants: 0-2 years old

Children are included in the basic number of people, just like adults.
Infants will be co-sleeping and will not be charged. However, if you add a futon, it will cost 2,200 yen (tax included) per person.
Please let us know when you confirm your reservation if you would like to add a futon.

● Transportation
If you come by car, you can use the parking lot below.

1. Shimomura Shoten-mae parking lot
This is the closest parking lot to the hotel. There are about 5 parking spaces. However, please refrain from using vehicles other than mincars, compact cars, and regular cars as the access road is narrow.
For parking access, please refer to the image on the booking page. Other routes may be narrow and may cause the car to go off the road.

2. Kandou Village entrance parking lot
It is about a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Parking is available for about 20 cars. Please use this parking lot for cars such as SUVs, minivans, wagons, and one-box cars.

About ●locking the door
The staff will give you a key to the entrance when you check in. The entrance can also be locked from the inside.

●Bathing
You will need to heat the water yourself.
If you plug the bathtub and fill it with hot water, it will be ready in about 30 minutes.
There is no reheat function, so we recommend that you operate the water heater just before bathing.
The baths at this facility are open-air baths, so in the winter, the temperature in the adjacent shower room may be considerably lower. If you run the shower for a few minutes before bathing to raise the temperature in the shower room, you will be more comfortable.
Please put used towels, etc. in the corner of the washroom.

●Refrigerator, kitchen use, and meals
There is a refrigerator in the room, so please feel free to use it. ※ Please be careful not to forget anything in the refrigerator when you leave.
There are dishes and cooking utensils in the cupboard, so please feel free to use them.
Please cooperate and separate the trash into burnable garbage, cans, bottles, and PET bottles.

About ●lighting and air conditioning
For lighting and air conditioning, please use the remote control provided on the wall of each room. Please use the wall switch for the living room, bathroom, washroom, and toilet lights.
* Please help us save electricity to the extent possible to reduce CO2 emissions.
Please be careful not to confuse the emergency ALSOK communication machine button with the remote control switch for lighting. The ALSOK button is directly connected to ALSOK and the security guard will come running.

●Check-In and Check-Out Times
Check-in time: between 4 pm and 8 pm
Check-out time: by 10 am

About ●Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available in the building.

●About the garden
The garden of our hotel is adjacent to the Omi Merchant House, Nakae Jun Goro Residence (hereinafter referred to as the Museum). It is adjacent to part of the garden.
For this reason, during the opening hours of the museum (10 am to 4:30 pm), general visitors may stroll through the garden on the museum side. Please note that staff will begin preparations for opening the museum around 8 am.
