Guedo met us on our arrival and showed us through the accommodation.
Everything was as described and even better as there were so many lovely 5 star finishing touches throughout.
The location was absolutely fantastic, very close to the most beautiful tiny hill town of Monticchiello. We wished we had planned more time in this area and this accommodation.
Our Tuscan breakfast was a special treat served in the garden area.
Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating during our stay.
After calling to confirm our arrival time at the B & B, we were met by Guido and his Zia (Aunt) upon arrival at the house. The accomodations for our family of 6 were more than adequate and the breakfast we were served in the morning was fantastic.
Thank you Affittacamere Maria Gabriella and Guido! Our family could have stayed at your beautiful B&B forever! 2 minute walk to the castle for dinner, spacious 4 bedrooms for our family of 8, lovely grounds for the kids to get lost and breathtaking views all around the home and village! This was the most relaxing time of our trip and were sad to leave. We will be back again!
Ciao grazie mille!

We had a wonderful time in Monticchielo. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, and the air conditioning was appreciated. The little touches - towels wrapped in ribbon, individual soap packets, freshly prepared morning breakfast, access to laundry and a beautiful garden, reliable wifi, private parking - were all appreciated.
Using the home as a base to explore Montepulciano (for wine tastings) and Pienza was very convenient. As well, Monticchielo is small, charming and with a couple of very good restaurants and stunning sunset views just steps from the home's entrance.
A couple of caveats about the rental: 1 - despite how the listing is characterized (whole home), and that the first photo shown is of the dining table, access to the kitchen and dining room is not included with the rental. This was a surprise and disappointment. The owner indicated that mini fridges had been ordered for each room, but we had to specially request access to the refrigerator to allow for cold water, wine glasses and a bottle opener. 2 - being a country farm house (albeit modern), expect to find a few bugs in the house.
Guido is continuing his family legacy of hospitality. He runs this small B&B with detail and care and gave us recommendations for food and fun in the area. We stayed for 2 nights as a part of our Italian honeymoon and found accommodations clean and comfortable. The location, while a bit tough to find at first, was both remote (literally steps from the small village of Montecchiello and its wine bar and Michelin starred restaurant) but accessible (we made short drives to montechino, pienza, and monepulciano). The only downside is proximity to the working agriculture fields may be tough for allergies and people who don't like the sound of a lawn mower at 9:30am
Advice: get the Tuscan style homemade breakfast. It's very tasty.
We arrived very late on a Friday. When we arrived, we called the number on the outside entrance and Maria Gabriella's son met us to show us our room. The room was great! It wasn't in the main house, but in a separate building on the property. It is a short walk down the hill from the center of Monticchielo, which is a quaint town. We had an excellent time and our hosts made us breakfast each morning- a very nice treat.
Guido and his Tia were very welcoming. They showed up to the B&B within 5 minutes of us arriving and texting them.
All the rooms were clean and fresh towels and essentials were laid out. We arrived at Tuscany after 3 days in Rome and desperately needed to do laundry. They were kind enough to allow us to use their washer which was not part of the amenities when reserved and arrange cups and an electric kettle for us!
Guido was also very helpful in guiding us with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations which turned out to be excellent!
