Traditional pet friendly Shepherd's Hut in the secluded grounds of an 18th Century thatched cottage with extensive views to the river and set on a working farm. It has a shower room, kitchenette and comfy double bed and its own private garden.

The space

A traditional Shepherd's Hut in the secluded grounds of an 18th century thatched cottage, with extensive views of the valley and River Avon, set on a working farm. It comes fully equipped with en suite electric shower, basin and proper flushing toilet. It has a beautiful hand-made kitchenette with microwave/combi oven, induction hob and roomy fridge with small freezer space to make ice for your drinks! There is a continental breakfast included in the price. You can then retire to the full-size double comfy bed, whilst enjoying the views across the valley and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. The hut has its own private and secluded garden, which comes equipped with garden furniture and a barbeque. The hut has an electric heater for those chilly evenings and the shower room has its own heated towel rail to keep those fluffy towels dry and you warm.

Guest access

The hut is situated away from the main house and in its own secluded garden with garden furniture and barbeque.

Interaction with guests

The hut is situated in the garden of our home and we will try to be there to greet you and show you round. After that, we are here to answer any questions you might have, but also appreciate your privacy and so will leave it up to you.

Other things to note

The hut has been designed to get away from it all. Therefore, there is no internet access or television - just views, wildlife, a glass of wine and a good book. There is a DAB radio.
We also have a Bed and Breakfast Suite which is in the Cottage. It sleeps three and has it's own separate entrance - please see listing on Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/10823481?guests=2&s=2GnlUoty

Stunning views of the valley. Amazing little hut. Wonderful host. Had some issues with the trees scrapping on the hut at night due to heavy wind but other than that an wonderful experience!

Glad you loved the hut experience and sorry about the hazel bush. We have now cut it back, but didn't want to do it to soon. It was a pleasure to meet you.

Beautiful and quiet. Homemade granola was perfect, scenery was unreal and the bed was super comfortable. Very clean, and easy access to Stonehenge for a quick trip!

If you want to experience all the beauty and authenticity of the British country side then look no further than this location. Crystal clear rivers, lush rolling hills, and friendly livestock for neighbors are only just the beginning to this wonderful Shepard hut stay. Fiona made me feel comfortable and accommodated. The Hut itself, despite its size, has all the essentials for an extended stay if you choose. I walked a short distance to the local pub for great food and even got two free beers (thanks to the voucher provided by Fiona). I highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to return! Cheers!

If you want to get away from everything- this is the spot! Beautiful views, really sweet setup- there was fresh bread and milk and juice as well as homemade jam and granola available. The host was very considerate in this way. The bed was so comfortable and I really enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of all the animals in the valley and waking up to have espresso while watching the sheep relax in the shade and the cow, just being a cow. Unless you are in peak physical condition I would advise against walking to Stonehenge, but if you're up for it (the path is not very obvious, but spectacular views and quite an adventure); I am proof it can be done from her spot! Her daughter is so lovely and kind and was very eager to help me with suggestions on where to go when I went into town. I would recommend this as a quaint getaway for a couple or single traveler- I was so comfortable the whole time-and felt very safe traveling there alone. Thanks again!

Glad you loved the hut and sorry that you had an issue with the directions. We are sadly lacking in phone signal, so you cannot call or use phone GPS and are surrounded by 2 private drives which can be difficult to differentiate between the two. We are not able to mark those drives either. However, I do include comprehensive directions on confirmation email and most people find them from that.
