About this listing
Great neighborhood, walk to downtown!
This is a newly renovated house with restored original wood floors, and has simple modern design inspired by boutique hotels in Austin- this means mid century modern sensibilities and plenty of succulents!
The house is located only a couple of blocks east of downtown, and is very close to all the downtown activities. East 6th street (where a lot of the action is at these days) is only a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and bars are within walking distance, even though the neighborhood itself is very quiet and serene. The best of both worlds.
You will be provided with the highest quality clean towels, and highest quality Egyptian cotton sheets.
Both bedrooms have queen sized beds. A fully stocked kitchen is also available with everything you need in order to make a meal.
CENTRAL Air conditioning (a major plus in Austin)
Coffee, with French Press coffee system
Topo Chico (the best sparkling water ever made)
High Speed Internet
Television with Netflix
Not too many rules here- it's a house so you can make noise if you want. Just please use common decency and respect in the space (I've never had any problems with airbnb guests in this regard!)
Nice place close to great food & drink. Leyla was helpful. Nice binder answered all my questions about house & neighborhood. Beds cozy & hardwood floors well done. We slept well.
We had a great stay at Leyla's house. It's small and cozy, and Leyla had prepared a nice booklet with some very useful information about her house and Austin. The house is well-equipped and comfortable: I wanna give a shout out to Leyla's AC which kept the apartment at the perfect temperature while it was burning hot outside. Other than that, the neighborhood is very calm and quiet and very close to the city center which was perfect to us.
My first Airbnb experience. Worked out great! Love the refurbished wood floors. The bathroom has been totally redone. Everything was spotless, and we rested well.
Leyla was a great host. I was in Austin for 2 nights for work and booked the house the night before my arrival. She got back to me quickly and we arranged for me to get the keys. The house was clean and very nice. We would definitely stay there again.
The house is very cozy! The neighborhood is great, and it is in a perfect part of town to ride your bike anywhere you want. Hospitality and accommodations are second to none. Can't wait to get back to Austin soon and stay here again!
Leyla's place was as advertised. Air conditioning was key given the hot Austin days.
There were plenty of towels - for the shower and Barton Springs.
The house was clean, roomy, comfortable. The neighborhood quiet and parking was always available.
While the house is fairly close to 6th Street, folks who are not city walkers might be intimidated by the distance since its over a highway. The reality is that it isn't far and a very short cab or uber back. Overall, a worthy AirBnb place for your Austin fun.

About the Host, Leyla
I've lived in Austin for 11 years- went to the University of Texas at Austin to earn a degree in architecture, and now work as a designer of restaurants, bars and houses in town.
I love traveling, yoga, good food, and excellent design.
