About This Listing
Great neighborhood, walk to downtown!
This is a newly renovated house with restored original wood floors, and has simple modern design inspired by boutique hotels in Austin- this means mid century modern sensibilities and plenty of succulents!
The house is located only a couple of blocks east of downtown, and is very close to all the downtown activities. East 6th street (where a lot of the action is at these days) is only a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and bars are within walking distance, even though the neighborhood itself is very quiet and serene. The best of both worlds.
You will be provided with the highest quality clean towels, and highest quality Egyptian cotton sheets.
Both bedrooms have queen sized beds. A fully stocked kitchen is also available with everything you need in order to make a meal.
CENTRAL Air conditioning (a major plus in Austin)
Coffee, with French Press coffee system
Topo Chico (the best sparkling water ever made)
High Speed Internet
Television with Netflix
Not too many rules here- it's a house so you can make noise if you want. Just please use common decency and respect in the space (I've never had any problems with airbnb guests in this regard!)
A friend and I were in Austin for 4 days. We didn't get a chance to meet Leyla, but communication and getting in and out went smoothly. The place was exactly as we expected! Beds are super comfy, the place was stocked for our needs, neighborhood is quiet and a good healthy walk into downtown, plus a CVS just around the corner, etc. We also took Leyla up on a several of her recs in the guidebook, which were all great. Definitely recommend!
It was a very good experience staying at Leyla's place. Comfortable and great location. Close to everything! You can uber around.
Great rental, excellent facilities, great location, helpful host. One of the best airbnb places I've been to yet. Highly recommended.
Leyla was an absolute life-saver when my time in Austin was coming to an end: I needed to sort two nights' accommodation, on the morning of the first of said two no less, and she came to my rescue! Not only that, but the house is absolutely lovely; tastefully redecorated, and could sleep five with ease. So it represents great value for money too, not least in light of its central location (15 minutes' walk to downtown Austin there or thereabouts). Additionally, and finally, I'd neglected to note down the check-in time, although Layla mercifully let me in early which saved me from a few hours spent stood in the rain! So, in short, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough, really...

About the Host, Leyla
I've lived in Austin for 11 years- went to the University of Texas at Austin to earn a degree in architecture, and now work as a designer of restaurants, bars and houses in town.
I love traveling, yoga, good food, and excellent design.
Amazingly delicious Mexican food, on the east side of town. Tastes as if the Mexican mother you never had is cooking for you.E 6th St Austin TX 78702
The corporate headquarters of Whole Foods, this place is an adventure. You can sample plenty of foods, and get lunch to eat in the beautiful front area. This is like a cafeteria for the whole city.Austin TX
