About this listing
Great neighborhood, walk to downtown!
This is a newly renovated house with restored original wood floors, and has simple modern design inspired by boutique hotels in Austin- this means mid century modern sensibilities and plenty of succulents!
The house is located only a couple of blocks east of downtown, and is very close to all the downtown activities. East 6th street (where a lot of the action is at these days) is only a 10 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants and bars are within walking distance, even though the neighborhood itself is very quiet and serene. The best of both worlds.
You will be provided with the highest quality clean towels, and highest quality Egyptian cotton sheets.
Both bedrooms have queen sized beds. A fully stocked kitchen is also available with everything you need in order to make a meal.
CENTRAL Air conditioning (a major plus in Austin)
Coffee, with French Press coffee system
Topo Chico (the best sparkling water ever made)
High Speed Internet
Television with Netflix
Not too many rules here- it's a house so you can make noise if you want. Just please use common decency and respect in the space (I've never had any problems with airbnb guests in this regard!)
I highly recommend both this place and Leyla as your host for your next stay in the great city of Austin. The location is perfect for those who want to be close to the sights and nightlife of Austin but who do not want to stay in a downtown hotel. The neighborhood is up and coming residential and only a short walk to the happenings on East 6th Street (East of 35) and only about a mile or less to UT, the Capitol, Dirty 6th Street, and the Red River/Rainey Street Corridor. All walkable or a short Uber ride away. SoCo and Warehouse district are easy Uber or taxi ride away. Great AC, clean linens and towels, and Leyla’s responsiveness and easy-to-check in and out procedures make this the place to stay.
A really nice house with great AC and comfy beds. Felt like a nice neighborhood, walking distance to everything we wanted.
I would happily stay in Leylas house again!
Though we didn't meet her, Lelya was very responsive. The neighborhood is great; it's very quiet and charming, but with plenty to do nearby. It's also not far from downtown or UT. As others have said, the place is as pictured--very clean, bright, and pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the AC worked well. The book Lelya provided was also a nice touch, with plenty of good local recommendations.
Great place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Close to downtown. All uber rides downtown were between 4 and 7 dollars so very reasonable if you don't want to drive to nearby attractions. Her suggestion book for restaurants and things to do was spot on. The pictures of the house are very accurate. This was a good experience for my family.
Nice place close to great food & drink. Leyla was helpful. Nice binder answered all my questions about house & neighborhood. Beds cozy & hardwood floors well done. We slept well.
We had a great stay at Leyla's house. It's small and cozy, and Leyla had prepared a nice booklet with some very useful information about her house and Austin. The house is well-equipped and comfortable: I wanna give a shout out to Leyla's AC which kept the apartment at the perfect temperature while it was burning hot outside. Other than that, the neighborhood is very calm and quiet and very close to the city center which was perfect to us.
