  • I would not recommend this place. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the photos and the location is pretty far away from central Chiang Mai. The rooms had a major ant problem and hot water was touch and go. They charged extra for wifi, which then basically did not work. We asked them politely 20 minutes after purchasing a week-long wifi pass to refund our money considering the wifi was nonfunctional and they refused. The "free breakfast" is basically a couple of pieces of white bread toast and some instant coffee.I'm giving two stars because the room was clean and functional for the most part with a basic kitchen. There are many good hotels in Chiang Mai around this price point, I would not choose this one.

  • Not up to the expectation. These edited photos build up too much and what you get in the end is only the 20% of what have shown in the photos.

    The bad:
*Furnished kitchen but don't feel like the kitchen utensil is clean.
*Old bathroom with very dirty shower curtain (mould) and broken shower head.
*The laundry service is free but it takes 2 days to get it done. Only works for the long stay but not for short rental.
*The free "American Breakfast" only comes with 2 slices of bread + small glass of juice + tea/ coffee. Can choose to upgrade the breakfast for additional 50bath for sausage or bacon and eggs. Cheap but not worthy. Plus what they have not mentioned THE BISRO IS CLOSED ON SUNDAY.
*Paid for the additional charges to get wireless in room only I found out later that IT'S NOT SHARED. We had to take turn to use the internet.

    The Good:
    *Comfortable bed
    *Daily housekeeping
    *Cooling air-con

    Conclusion:
The rental is cheap but around this price you can also find better condition+clean+free wireless+free breakfast+within the old city that kinda room. Maybe only good for the long stay. Will not recommend to others and definitely won't be coming back.

  • I was very comfortable there, and the location suited me. Especially helpful was the bicycle rental which cost 1000 baht for one month. Other helpful things: there is laundry in the building and 2 or 3 T shirts cost 25 baht or so to have laundered. Also, minimal but adequate shop on ground floor with essentials such as water, beer, TP, etc.

You should know, as renter, these are individually owned condos decorated differently, and with varying degrees of cookware, towels, etc. Also they are in varying degrees of remodeling and maintenance. For an entire month, my closet only had about 6 mismatched clothes (email hidden) and indication that some owners provide more than others.

Another important thing to know is that monthly rentals do not include the electricity.

I would definitely stay here again, and I would be sure to ask for photos of actual unit.

    Thank you!

  • The apartment was just like the image posted on the web (website hidden) no longer new but still good and the bed was large and very comfortable. Great value, regular cleaning and fresh linen well appointed and plenty of room by Thai standards. 10 minutes by tuk tuk to the old city and we were glad to be that bit out of the busy hub. The inexpensive in house Bistro was great with free fast wifi - we breakfasted and caught up on our emails and(website hidden) Laundry drop off service was a treat. Definately would rent again at Galare Thong.

  • Had a great stay in Chang Mai. The apartment is fully equipped and great value for money. It's a little out of town but it's easy to get to because it's next to the Park Hotel so tuk tuks/taxis can always find it. We ended up walking into town most days - about 30 mins. Probably the best thing about the stay is the charming and tasty cafe bistro on the ground floor. Breakfast is included but definitely try to have some other meals here too.

  • The room is quite spacious and clean. The bed is also very comfortable for me. Although it is very cheap, the bedsheet and cover was changed everyday. There is no wireless connection included free for me. I bought the wifi card in the lobby and the fare is not bad.

The apartment is a little out of way, but I rented a bicycle there for 50 Bhats a day, and it's quite convenient to go around all the Chiang Mai city with it. When I left for airport, I walked 3 mins to the main road for tuk-tuk or red car.

  • It's about a 5-10 minute tuk tuk ride to the Old City or Night Market. It's a little bit of a hassle, but you can't beat the price of the place. There are tuk tuks waiting at the hotel by the main road all the time so really easy to hail one. Sometimes a songthaew will offer you a ride for cheaper. The AC was cold, there was a small balcony, everything was as described. Didn't try the breakfast at the bistro. My only problem was with the wifi. The wifi has to be purchased per device (or shared). The price is good, but still.

  • This is a wonderful 4th story apartment-clean and spacious with 2 full
bathrooms and a kitchen fully equiped with a front loading washing
machine (email hidden)o large flat screen TV's had a large selection of channels, in many languages. Downstairs is a Cafe run
by a friendly Thai couple and they made breakfast which was also included with the stay. Other food was available and pretty tasty too. The only detraction was the speed and quality
of the wireless service, which I requested for connection to my own
Airbnb listings. The apartment building is a ways from the old city area of Chang Mai (2 kilometers) but it was also nice and quiet.
Had A/C too and great fans also.
Although we never met Wanwisa, when there was a problem and we
were locked out (2 locks but only 1 key) she responded quickly by sending a friend with the other key.

  • Awesome value for money! Wonderful private apartment with everything you'd need. Air conditioned, flat screen TV with DVD player, comfortable double bed, couch to relax on, dining table, clean and functional bathroom, kitchen with everything you'd need. Breakfast vouchers for cafe downstairs included - although doesn't open until 9 am so can mean a late start. Very comfortable place to come back to at the end of an adventurous day!
