Linda and Russ were great hosts! Our time spent in Saratoga was relaxing and fun, only made more enjoyable by their hospitality and warm welcoming. They were very helpful with suggestions of what to do and where to go in town. They have a beautiful old home with lots of natural light and artistic design. We had our choice of two rooms, both were very clean and had a comfortable feel. We our so glad to have new friends in Saratoga and definitely plan on returning to stay with Linda and Russ!
Great AirBnB experience! Linda & Russ are very welcoming and very comfortable to be around. The communication was excellent during booking, prior to our visit, and perfect the day of, as well. Their place is in a great location; an easy walk to Broadway, the Track and more. The home has some wonderful art and architecture, and a lot of personality. The upstairs bedroom and private bathroom were clean, neat, well supplied and both adorable. The bed, linens and pillows were freshly washed and very comfy. Our breakfast together was comfortable, stress-free, unrushed and a lot of fun. Plus... very good coffee!
Saratoga Sprngs is charming; great art and architecture, history, outdoor activities and events, dining, shopping and more.
We highly recommend Linda and Russ as hosts and their home as a place to stay. This overnight stay was our first AirBnB experience, but certainly will not be our last. They represent all that is great about travel using this creative space-sharing community. Thanks, guys, it was great being your guests.
Linda and Russ greeted and treated us not like B&B hosts but as if we were long-time friends visiting for the weekend. Their home is comfortable and very well designed - a tribute to their artistic and creative efforts. Our bedroom was warm and comfortable. Saturday morning's continental-style breakfast was just what was called for. Sunday's full cooked meal was outstanding.
Our hosts, Linda and Russ, do not deserve a five star review. That would really be selling them short. I would give each of them five apiece!
My boyfriend and I decided to spend New Year's Eve in Saratoga Springs for a romantic getaway. The accommodations were lovely and just as described. We were offered our choice of two cozy rooms on the 2nd floor, and it felt like we were the guests of old friends. The home is old but very well maintained and charming, and just a 5-10 minute walk from the main drag. Linda and Russ were very accommodating, and even made us banana-nutella crepes at midnight on NYE! We had a wonderful stay.
My wife and I enjoyed our two-night stay with Russ and Linda very much. They were very hospitable, knowledgeable of the area, and fun. Their house is a showcase downstairs and the bedroom, although small, was the perfect temperature and the bed was firm and comfortable. Their location in the heart of Saratoga Springs is superb as their quiet and pretty street is only a few blocks away from shops and restaurants in town. I was there for a conference so was glad to have a place to park and walk (but be mindful of the alternate side of the street parking). As hosts, they leave you alone yet are available and helpful when you have a question. One of the reasons we enjoy travel is that we get to meet fantastic folks like Russ and Linda!
Lin & Russ are great people, very welcoming, easy to talk with. The room was comfortable, bath room has a fabulous claw foot tub/shower. The home has lots of charm and is very cozy. The neighborhood is convenient to parks and downtown Saratoga Springs. Great Thai restuarant around the corner from their place.
As we entered this spacious and airy home, we felt welcome. The home was well maintained and clean. Russ and Linda made us feel extremely welcome, without infringing on our privacy. We occupied 2 rooms on the 2nd floor with a bright bathroom for our use. The bathroom included a claw foot tub! and a wonderful shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Sunday breakfast and local information, both provided by Linda, was most helpful.
The location of the house is accurately noted. It's away from the hustle bustle although within easy accessible. We parked our car on the tree lined street in front of the house and did not move it all weekend. We were able to easily walk to the shops and restaurants along Broadway and historic Congress Park.
