Very pleasant stay at Michael's. Nice location with easy access to stores and to the subway station. Easy to reach Manhattan.
The host made us feel at home from the very beginning. He was very attentive and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. The location was perfect for the purpose of our trip. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had music, books, and all the kitchen utensils needed. All in all, we had a fantastic experience.
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The location of the apartment is perfect. Astoria is a great and safe neighbourhood with all shops of daily need, a lot of international restaurants and bars and the subwaystation is 2 min walk from the apartment. When you walk around the corner you can already see the beautiful Manhattan skyline.
Michael was available for us whenever we needed something and we had great and amicable contact with him almost every day. He provided recommandations for nightlife and sightseeing, maps, snacks in the fridge and a lot of helpful information regarding the journey. Unfortunaltely, it didn´t happen that we went out together for some drinks. I forgot my favorite sweater in his wardrobe on our departure and Michael prepared the shipment :) Great host. Thanks for the awesome time in NYC, Monika & Sarah
Michael's apartment was just as listed on the website! Beautiful and very clean. Michael helped us with directions and tips about the city. He checked in every day to see if everything is okay and if we need anything. He left us yogurt and eggs in the fridge to get us started as we came late at night. Very Helpful! He also helped us book a driver for the ride back to the airport, and provided us maps and guides in the apartment. The apartment is in a great neighborhood with a very delicious restaurant on the corner called Brick Cafe. I highly recommend Michael and staying at his gorgeous apartment in Astoria. We will definitely be booking with him again next time we are visiting New York! Thank you very much Michael for making our visit so pleasant :)
Hi! Me and my daughter had a great time at Michael's apt. It is cozy, warm, its kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook any meal and it is really well located. I loved staying there instead of Manhattan, because I had the chance to know a nice neighborhood, full of restaurants, shops and life. What you need to know is that despite being a short subway ride to get to Manhattan it will add 25 mins to get to central park or 40 mins to get to downtown. And that is if the trains are functioning OK. For me it wasn't a problem, but if you don't have much time it might be worth considering. Another little problem is that the apt is in the front so you will hear street noise. It is not really bad, and I think if you are a heavy sleeper you won't even notice. After spending quite a few days here I can fully recommend Michael and his apt. Good travels!
We had a great stay In this very pleasant apartment. It was completely comfortable, and everything we needed had been thoughtfully provided. Michael was great at communicating in advance and checking in after we arrived. We had not used airbnb before, but we're sold after this experience.
Hello Travelers! Thank you for considering a stay at my lovely apartment! My name is Mike. I am native New Yorker and have lived in this apartment for 10 years. It has been a wonderful home to me and I hope you will find your stay here to be a comfortable and enjoyable one.
I am a working professional, with a full time career in urban planning. When I am not planning for better, more livable communities, I can be found surfing the Atlantic Ocean at the beautiful Long Island beaches.
As often as possible, I travel, both for work as well as leisure. Experiencing new places, cultures, architecture, food and people is not only educational -- it's critical to living a full life.
I hope you, as a traveler -- either international, national, or a local looking to spend time in New York City -- will take advantage of all my city has to offer during your time here. I look forward to the opportunity to offer my home to you so that you may experience NYC to its fullest!
