This is our beautiful huge 160 square meter apartment in Rome. We are in Via Illiria 18, just a 8minute walk to the Basilica of S. Giovanni (800mt) and Metro station S. Giovanni (A Line) and a 15minute walk from the Colosseum (1200mt), Terme di Caracalla (800mt) and Santa Maria in Domnica alla Navicella. Brand new station 100mt away on Metro C line "Porta Metronia" is due to open in November 2025 and will connect directly with the Colosseum and San Giovanni (Metro A). San Giovanni stop on the Metro A takes you to the Vatican, the Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi and Termini Station for easy access to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
The apartment is very large for Rome and accommodates 5. It has 2 large bedrooms, one with a double bed + single bed, the other is set up with 2 single beds. Both rooms have plenty of storage. There are also 2 bathrooms (with shower) and a kitchen with enough space to eat in. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently refreshed and renewed. Air conditioning (with heating) is available throughout the apartment. Free high speed internet wifi. Free high chair and cot for babies available on request.
The standout feature is a huge double dining and tv room with fresco painted ceilings and period furniture. There a also 3 small balconies.
The kitchen is fully equipped and the home benefits from central heating. The whole flat has wooden parquet flooring.
The flat is on the 3rd floor of the building and has a lift for easy access. The building has a door man / porter and is very secure.
We are happy to provide a cot and highchair if needed for smaller children and babies.
Close by there is a large supermarket and nice typical Roman restaurants. This is a quiet residential area and away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of all attractions and metro.
Termini train station is easy to get to by metro Line A or a short taxi trip (cost about 12 euro).
Parking: free street parking in any spaces with white lines. Please note there is no dedicated/reserved parking. Blue spaces are paid for. There is a local private garage around the corner that will charge approximately EUR 15 per night.
Taxi from Fiumicino Airport is Flat Fee of EUR 50.

We block out the day before and after travel so can be flexible with check in and check out times if needed.
From Termini station: take metro A to San Giovanni station and exit on the Magna Grecia right side, then walk for 900 mt on Via Sannio , then onto Via Farsalo. After 150mt turn left onto Via Illiria. Alternatively a taxi costs about EUR12 and is very quick.
By bus from San Giovanni : Bus No. 360 to Gallia Via Illiria stop.
From Fiumicino airport take the train or bus to the Termini Station and then the metro A as above. Taxi will be the fastest option as it takes about 30-45 minutes and will cost EUR 50. We recommend taxi if travelling in 3-4 and have luggage as you avoid the busy Termini station.
From Ciampino airport shuttle bus every 15 minutes , to Anagnina or Termini then metro A S.GIOVANNI. Taxi will be about EUR35-40 and take 30mins.
