  • My mom and I stayed 10 nights in Olivia's apartment and it could not have been better. The apartment is on is very quiet We didn't have any noise problems and sleep well each night, ready for the next day out.

The location of the apartment is very good. It is not Manhattan but still close enough not to be spending too long catching the subway. It is only few minutes walk to the green line train and could change a couple stations down the line and be in downtown in less than 15 minutes.

In the neighborhood is a few little bar and coffee houses and food markets.

If I get back to New York, I would certainly be happy to stay in Olivia's apartment again.

  • Most importantly, Olivia and her husband Richard are two very accommodating people. They cater to every possible need of the guest. The apartment is in a very calm locality of south western brooklyn, well connected by train services from "classons avenue" stop. Although the frequency of trains is not as good on the manhattan or even other parts of Brooklyn, it was very convenient! The location is close to a lot of eateries and this gave us loads of dining choices when we were not sight seeing. We were 6 in total. 4 adults and twin infants. The apartment was spacious enough for all of us and this considering the running around of our "early toddlers".
Olivia went out of the way by providing cribs for our kids. She also provided us with a compact vacuum cleaner, on request, that helped us to keep the apartment reasonably clean. In spite of our busy schedule, she made it a point to visit us at least once on the day of leaving (she was on vacation for most of our stay period). This winter was particularly cold due to an upcoming "polar vortex" on the east coast of USA. This made the bigger bedroom chilly during nights. But, the adjustable climate control made sure that this was countered.
I strongly recommend this apartment for family of 4 adults.

    Best,
    Harsha

  • My wife and I stayed 10 nights in Olivia's apartment and it could not have been better. Right from when we arrived to grab the keys through til when we had a late chceckout, Olivia was great.

The location of the apartment was what we wanted....away from the noise and pace of Manhattan....but still close enough not to be spending too long catching the subway. We were only few minutes walk to the green line train, and could change a couple stations down the line and be in downtown in less than 15 minutes.

A few nice little places to eat and a supermarket, where we shopped, were all within a 5 minute walk.

The street the apartment is on is very quiet We didn't have any nosie problems and sleep well each night, ready for the next day out. As others have said, the apartments looks just like the photos, and the appliances were all first rate.

When ever we get back to New York, I would certainly be happy to stay in Olivia's apartment again.

  • By far the best place we have stayed in NYC. Olivia was a fantastic host accommodating our young family with great suggestions and activities. She was excellent to communicate with from initial enquiry and right throughout our stay. The apartment is as described, is bright, quiet, comfortable and clean. It boasts a well equipped kitchen and has all the comforts of home. We fell in love with the neighbourhood - tree lined streets, close to subway stops, supermarket and excellent eateries and felt safe throughout our stay. We would love to come and stay again and can highly recommend Olivia's place. Thank you Olivia and family for being wonderful hosts!

  • We stayed at Olivia's apartment for one week in July 2013. Everything was just like we already saw from the pics on the airbnb website, or even better. Wonderful modern apartment, stylish furnished, and air-conditioned! As the weather was hot (95-100 Fahrenheit) we enjoyed the possibility to relax in a fresh surrounding. We enjoyed living in Brooklyn, joining live there. Olivia's house is emended in gardens and tree-line streets, near to two train stations, to a supermarket and to several nice bars/restaurants. Olivia and her family live nearby, so it was easy and quick to contact them. Olivia was a great host, always willing to help us with tips, information, helping us to call a taxi or whatever. We really enjoyed our stay! So: very much recommended! All the best from Barbara, Marion and Tobias

  • The apartment was everything we had hoped for and more. Located in a wonderful neighborhood, close to subway line with great places to eat and relax after a day in frantic Manhattan. Olivia had all kinds of info and suggestions to make our stay easier. She was a wonderful host and we will be back!

  • Staying here for five nights was such a breath of fresh air after having been on the Upper West Side for the first part of our New York experience. The apartment is huge and gorgeous. Exactly like the pictures, well furnished, a full kitchen and lots of lovely little touches which we have not encountered anywhere else (bread and milk for our first morning, a box of guide books and maps, great list of instructions about the local area, etc).
Olivia was absolutely wonderful to deal with, extremely warm but also professional, she got back to us immediately about any questions we had and was always one step ahead of us in terms of checking in and checking out. The local area near the apartment is lovely, the G line around Brooklyn is only a block away and the A or C line is about a 10 min walk which gets you to Manhattan in no time at all. We went to a Nets game at the new Barclay's Centre and walked home late with no problems. For Melburnians looking for a great coffee fix, Williamsburg is the place to go! Could not have asked for a better experience while in Brooklyn, mainly to do with Olivia's great hospitality and the stunning apartment.

  • As it turns out we did not stay with Olivia due to the hurricane delaying our stay. Our two travelling companions did proceed with the trip, hoping that the marathon would proceed. We have heard from them and they really enjoyed their stay, and did not mention any negatives. Olivia and myself both emailed and spoke over the phone during the adjustments, and she was really helpful and accomodating. I would recommend Olivia as a host.
