Very cozy one bed room apt with room to spare In the exciting Art filled, Historic Elmwood Village Area in Buffalo NY, close to many quaint retail boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, local pubs and groceries
Great location: walk to Elmwood shops and restaurants, the Albright–Knox, H. H. Richardson Complex, Burchfield Penney Art Center. The apartment is large and comfortable (though a little too warm for us) and Robert made everything very easy. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Robert is a great Host and his place is beautifully decorated in a really lovely part of Buffalo called the Elmwood Village. It is convenient to everything for shopping and sight seeing.
Guests should be aware of the stairs to get to the second level apartment and that it is an older building. In the summer it would be fabulous to walk around the area, we felt very safe and comfortable.
I couldn't recommend this place anymore to my friends. They are tired of me talking about it, how nice and fully furnished the apartment was , how helpful Robert was, (and I mean help-wait for it-ful) how close to everything it was, and how it should be listed in tour guides, so I thought I would post it here.
Two thumbs way up!!!
Great place! The apartment was homey and fully loaded with a gas stove, microwave, full sized fridge, two couches and satellite TV. Although the apartment is across the street from a high school, noise was not an issue whatsoever. Located about 10 minutes (walking distance) from Elmwood Village, the apartment was convenient for shopping, having a beer and eating tasty food. Coffee was only a 5 minute walk away to Sweetness 7 Cafe on Grant and Linwood. Loved this place! Thanks Robert!
A very comfy apartment in a fantastic neighbourhood. We were sightseeing and the spot proved to be perfect for this purpose. The host was kind, flexible and accommodating.
Great AirBNB experience. The apartment was clean, and had all of the necessities. There's a cute strip of cafes, restaurants, organic groceries, etc. a couple of blocks away. The neighbourhood is friendly, and has character: pretty architecture and public spaces, smiley people walking dogs, chatting with neighbours and minding their kids. Robert is a nice guy and a considerate host. He was close at hand to make sure that I had everything I needed. I give my hesitation-free recommendations.
Robert was a super nice and accommodating host. The place is exactly as pictured, very clean, and within a very walkable neighborhood. It is also close to public transportation routes if you are heading to Buffalo carless like I did.
I think this is a steal for the location and space provided. You have wifi access, cable (or satellite, not sure), and you get the privacy of your own little apartment.
Robert was on site for any issues, very responsive, and provided information about the neighborhood. Great host!
Stay was pleasant. Even though Robert was unavailable to meet us he made sure someone was there to take care of concerns. The pictures of the apartment are exactly what you get. Any minor issue that came up was taken care of in short order. Pretty steep stairway leading up to the apartment so people with mobility issues should be aware of that. Also be aware of the parking restrictions on the street (Monday - Tuesday no parking on one side of the street, Thursday - Friday no parking on the other side of the street). Not really the host's fault but It's not well marked on the street unless you park further away from the house so some heads up would have been nice to avoid that $30 ticket. The area was safe to walk and shops\restaurants within easy walking distance. Very well kept neighbourhood for the most and art museums and old cemeteries close by to go exploring. Airport and Walden Galleria within 15 minute drive. Great location.
I spent a holiday weekend at Ardmore Estates. The apartment is 2nd floor unit tucked in an unassuming quiet residential area just outside of charming Elmwood Village. Robert was a lovely host, punctual and checking in to make sure everything was okay without being intrusive. The apartment is gorgeous! It gets 5stars all the way for interior design. It is equipped with a well-stocked fridge and direct tv too. I was there in the spring and I enjoyed the farmer's market down the street and took a stroll to Bidwell Park for live entertainment and good food on Elmwood Ave. I had a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and it was well worth the price. Would recommend it for an affordable and relaxing time.
Robert was there to meet us as we arrived. The apartment was spacious and looked just like the pictures. The bed was comfortable, but really high (needed a little step to get on to it). The apartment was so close to Elmwood avenue which was great for food and bars. His neighbour was really helpful too, she gave me a taxi number. Overall was lovely and would stay again.
