The glow of the electric fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere on chilly evenings, while the front porch with rocking chairs is enchanting during the warmer months. Comfy double mattress upstairs in the loft (my favorite sleeping spot), tall enough to kneel easily, but not stand up

While you're here, please keep in mind that cell service can be a bit unreliable in this area. We use AT&T and usually get a signal, but it might be spotty at times.
We also offer Starlink Wi-Fi, which is great for staying connected, though it might not be as fast as what you're used to in the city.

Welcome to our lovely cabin on a beautiful mountain farm! You'll enjoy a leisurely hike down an easy 300-foot trail that leads you to the magical log cabin nestled in the woods. We also provide a wagon to help you carry your belongings, making your journey even easier. Right in front of the cabin, you’ll find a cozy campfire area where you can gather and enjoy the great outdoors, surrounded by the peaceful forest. We can’t wait for you to experience this lovely getaway!

Just a heads-up about the cell service here—it can be a bit spotty, with some areas having limited or no coverage. We use AT&T and usually have decent service, but just keep that in mind!
On the bright side, we do have Starlink Wi-Fi available, so you can stay connected while you enjoy your time here.
A fun fact about the cabin: it features historic-sized door openings and a bathroom height of just 6 feet. So, if you’re on the taller side, you’ll need to duck a bit and opt for baths instead of showers!
The Red River Gorge is nestled in the beautiful mountains, and while the roads can be curvy and steep, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is only necessary if it snows. Also, arriving during the daytime is a good idea since it gets quite dark up here at night.

Your more welcome neighbors are deer, wild turkey, squirrels, chipmunks, lightning bugs, and birds.
Your less welcome neighbors are mice, wasps, mosquitos, ants, occasionally masses of ladybugs, and poison ivy. Cucumbers are a good natural insect deterrent. Remember that you are entering their territory.
