Lorenzo Polegri is chef and owner of Ristorante Zeppelin in Orvieto, Italy, operating now for 18 years. Lorenzo is also culinary instructor for intern students from Culinary Institute of America, Johnson & Wales, The Art Institutes of America and many more.
Kim Brookmire works along with Lorenzo in the mission of teaching culinary arts, and together they have opened their house to travelers wanting to embrace a different kind of vacation, where one can rediscover the importance of regional food, and the love of the simple things that the countryside can offer.
If you wish, Lorenzo and Kim will take you to discover the true Umbrian treasures. You will leave with a meaningful and memorable vacation suitcase, stuffed with wine, cheese, salami, laughs and new friends. (And some more pounds).
This property is definitely unique, passed on by Lorenzo's grandfather Bernardino. Lorenzo's father Lucio still operates in the farm, along with his brother Federico.
This area is bellissima! The panorama is astonishing and bucolic! The house is creative and fun, built with large stones and huge wooden beams tormented through the years. The manger on the first floor reveals a hard lifestyle of the past when the farmers used to live together as a team with their burly oxen.
Cypress trees, sappy pines and rosemary bushes on the property compete with each other to release their pungent perfumes in the summer evenings. October brings the fragrance of the new must during the grape harvest along with foggy mornings.
Come and enjoy early morning coffee and late evening earthy wine, overlooking the beautiful vistas.
