The space
Amore is within the Beachfront Condo-complex Schooner Bay, considered one of the most desirable beachfront resorts on the West Coast for its well maintained grounds, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful architecture.

It’s a gated community at the southern end of Speightstown - a place where old and new Barbados exist together. Speightstown is one of the few places where you really feel the charm of Barbados and almost everything you need is just within 5 minutes walking distance.

Guest access
You have full access to Amore and there's a designated parking spot just next to the guard hut if you rent a car during your stay.

The grounds of Schooner Bay are shared with other owners & their guests. Everyone is very welcoming, and will likely strike up conversation by the pool or on the beach.

Pool, hot tub, and beach access is gained by using the fob on your keys. 

There you can take advantage of the sun loungers, umbrellas and poolside tables.

Where you’ll be

Speightstown, Saint Peter, Barbados

A charming town where one really gets a feeling for Barbados both old & new. Located on our north-west coast - Speightstown (Spites-Town) should be high on any visitor’s list to the island.

With all the newest “hot spots” locals and visitors alike come to Speightstown for its chic bars and restaurants. Look out for Local & Co, 1.11E (One-Eleven East), Little Bristol and the infamous Caboose! 



Just a 5 minute drive away are Sea Shed (ask about their fire show) & Fish Pot restaurant.

You’ll find a variety of vendors selling their produce and souvenirs along Queen’s street, and near the bus terminal on the “main road”.

Jordan’s supermarket is just a 2 minute walk from our front gate.

See if you can find The Caribbean Gallery of Art to see local fine arts & craft by some of the islands best.



There are several white sandy beaches along its length, and just to the north of Speightstown is the gorgeous Heywood’s Beach.



Fun fact: Speightstown is over 350 years old and it used to be a major commercial port for trade with Bristol, UK, hence its nickname “Little Bristol”.
