  • Rory was a superb host! :) He was friendly, easy going, and more than willing to help answer any questions or suggest great things to do. He also has various snorkling, biking, and wake-boarding gear for guest use. I would definitely stay there again. :)

  • First off want to say what an amazing host Rory was. He was there when you needed him and very helpful. We also enjoyed our conversations with him about his place and all the local spots to check out!! THANKS Rory! We rented the Garden View Studio which was just perfect for the two of us. He also has a huge supply of beach equipment for you to use. The umbrellas came in handy for us lol too much sun on the first day snorkeling. This was just around the corner from a WalMart and a Safeway and many other stores too. Close really to anything you might need. Great location. We will see you again Rory god willing. Mahalo, Mahalo Mike & Becky P.S remember the Marlin Rory??? yum

  • Rory is a very friendly host, with information on places to eat, snorkle etc.
We stayed in the studio apartment. The mattress was very comfortable, with an amazing selection of pillows. There was a well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed, and a cute outside area where we had breakfast every day. The bathroom was a good size with plush towels and a great showerhead. The cable TV was very welcome in the evenings.
There was a washer, with soap, and a dryer available for our use, as well as various beach and snorkle equipment.
The apartment is in a quiet residential area.
We enjoyed our stay, and thought it was a great bargain.

  • We highly recommend the Kailua-Kona Garden apartment. Rory is a wonderful host and has great tips on good eats and things to do. We made use of his stash of snorkeling/beach/other gear on a daily basis. Located just up the hill from Kailua-Kona, the apartment is convieniently located to the farmer's market and the strip, but is also just far enough away for peace and quiet. Size is perfect for 2 people.

  • Rory is a kind and considerate host. The beach he reccomended near Kona ended up being one of the highlights of our week in Hawaii. We were grateful to have comfortable and affordable accomodations so close to downtown Kailua-Kona. Thanks again Rory!

  • This place was amazing! We booked the little studio, but since guests had not booked the top floor, Rory was sweet enough to let us all hang out there. THE VIEW! He greeted us with a friendly hello, and we had everything we needed on site (bodyboards, snorkle/fins, etc). Highly recommended for a Hawaiian getaway! Thank you!!!

  • Rory is a great host! His place is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. He also has the best rates in Kona! The location is great, the lanai is beautiful and the studio is completely functional with everything you need to cook for yourself or make some coffee in the morning. Rory was kind enough to point me in the direction of things to do, snorkeling, restaurants and surf spots.

    Thanks Rory!

  • Rory was absolutely the most wonderful host. He made sure you were comfortable and had what you needed but also gave personal space and privacy. I called him the night before we came to find out if he had king pillows because my husband is disabled and has trouble with his legs and Rory said that he was going to Costco and would pick them up at no cost to us!! He had them waiting for us when we arrived. The place was small but perfect for us and we spent most of our time on the lanai. Rory also had everything from toilet/paper towels and condiments to insect repellant for our use. What a kind, generous man he is. Our stay was fantastic. Thanks Rory! We'll be calling in November when we return - time for a barbecue!! Blessings to you... Chip and Dani
